  1. Last evening, I drop of my kid off for her activity and have close to 2 hrs to killed. Browse around and finally stop in to Petco. Saw this little guy, at first I thought it was a giant majano, but upon taking a closeup shot, it realized it's some kind of acid rain BTA. 2. Pretty cool! I haven’t seen them in person for 35+years. Used to catch them for fun or use them as fishing bait. the male display awesome colors too.
  3. It’s red montipora. My is in low-medium flow. You can place it in any part of the tank. I have some growing in the bottom of my tank. You can use “gel”super glue to mount it to the rock.
  4. Thanks David! I need a few more. Has been searching for octopus, shark, starfish and couple of fish at local stores with no luck.
  5. I was being sarcasm! Your other hobby overwhelm the tank. awesome basement btw. I am sure your tank will be the center of attention once you get it back to where it was.
  6. Very Nice! where is the tank?
  7. I has some spare time these past few weeks so I decided to continue to dressing up my fish room. Hung a few drywall and paint the fish room area. My little daughter help painted the wall decors. Tank progress update 3-30-2019 by t@#$%c, on Flickr
  8. Congrats! BTW, that's a lot of frags
  9. I have a 100 rimless cube. I believed it's made by glasscage. Rimless does look good, but I personally hated it. Has to keep wiping around the glass as it always get salt creep or splash all the time and snails get out the died often too. Not sure about integrity of non-braced rimless, but mine has bottom brace and but none on top. I had a similar worry when I got the tank, so I added 4 triangle braces on each of the top 4 corners just for my own piece of mind.
  10. Here are my mating pair. female is about 5" and I think she still growing . You can hear her chopping jaws during feeding. ORA Tomato & Fire clownfish by t@#$%c, on Flickr ORA Tomato & Fire clownfish by t@#$%c, on Flickr
  11. Thanks man! Hasn’t done much building in the past few years.
  12. Ron, your tank looking great!
  13. $1300 for 3 is a little high but still not too bad considering that it's still in summer season. Try searching in neighboring airports. Also, check late at light (1-3AM) for deals.
  14. A bit off topic: I recalled reading a thread (I think buckeye hydro) that the 90GPD is actually a re-label of the 75GPD. 75gpd is rated at 50 psi. If you increase your pressure to 60 psi you should get around 90GPD. If you look at the specification for the 90GPD membrane, it's rated at 60 psi. You can verify your system by measure how long it take to make a gallon of RODI water.
  15. looks like mini brittle starfish. I have tons in frag rack and sump. Some red one too.
  16. I still use glass lids on my tank since I began saltwater almost 10 years ago. It’s a pain to have to remove and clean every now and then but it does reduce evaporation and less splash.
  17. 1) uniseal would probably better for your application. 2) seem to be up in the air. They don't make heaters like they used to.
  18. I have that same ato for 7+ years. If you're using aqualifter pump, make sure it still function properly and less than 30" high. If not pumping water and sensor come on and off when you move the floater up or down then your pump is not function properly. Does the pump kicked on then you move the float up? Test the pump to see if it pump water (not just plug into another outlet).
  19. Unfortunately, it's has been typical practice for as long as I can remember. Some even Photoshop images. When I purchase high-ended frags, I always ask for an un-edited photos in normal lighting.
  20. Saw it over r2r earlier. I used DFS many years back for pond supplies and then for reef. It’s really ashamed that we will loss yet another pet supply. :(
  21. Found this guy off Florida's beach.
