  1. Thanks Isaac! Yeah, we were in similar situation. I wanted to keep the basement open for the kids to roam. opted to keep most of the wall concrete as well as the ceiling to be more industrial like. Although wound have love to be able to keep all the electrical wires and water pipes neat but they were all over. I searched online and lots basement ceiling opted out to just keep it bare and painted the ceiling over either black or white. I originally was going to have my basement floor acid etched and epoxied but it's uneven and much cheaper to just carpet it. Keeping it neat and clean is going to be a challenge. Good luck with your build!
  2. Thanks! some motivations and LOTS AND LOTS of nagging will make things move a bit quicker Almost 6 years and finally a cleaned basement. Hopefully we'll able to keep it neat and clean. IMG_0054 by Chuck, on Flickr IMG_0051 by Chuck, on Flickr

  5. If a 180 won’t work, I bet a 150 cube would fit perfectly there
  6. Thanks bro! Still running the aquaponic?
  7. Yeah! Hook it up to see. Most-likely will need to place the membrane and all the filters.
  8. Welcome back! I am on well water and it’s actually much better than city water. I have a neutralizer (to increase my pH) and water softener. My tds reading is around 70 coming in to the rodi. So far my membrane and di lasted quite a long tine. I have seen other well water reefer suffered from gas from the well water and must de-gas (Using a de-gaser) to improve the rodi performance. Other than that, I love well water. Tasted better than bottled spring water and tap water
  9. A little more progress with around the fish room. 14. Lol! Had to look that up. I am way behind with tech. Getting to the age where I am no longer interested or care to follow new technologies.

  16. Isaac, I see you're selling off this tank on r2r. Where is your new build?
  17. Thanks! Nah, the Mrs.has been pushing me to clean up the basement I was doing hand paint the basement ceiling since last summer since I was afraid of getting paints onto my system. I gave up after 2 weeks as it was getting no where. Those bare compressed plywood is not easy to paint along with nails/staples from the upstairs hardwood flooring making it impossible paint with a roller. Finally got around and seal off the tank area and bought a quality spray gun and finished spaying it in two days. As for the pond, restart the water fall 2 weeks ago, but then got issue with my well's water. Keep losing water pressure in the house and could't get my plumber to come out as he was sick. and then one day, it's totally stopped. NO WATER!!! man that was rough!!! Well's pump died. plumber still out sick. Found a local well's company to come out to replace new pump. Still have that worry in the back of my mind about the water situation, hopefully it will go away as things moving along. Will need to reinstall the pond's UV and filter and top-off when the weather warms up a bit later this week.
  18. A little improvement around the fish room area. Spray paint the ceiling. It's was super messy but worth it. Made the room looks brighter. IMG_9916 by Chuck, on Flickr IMG_9915 by Chuck, on Flickr
  19. My system is now officially over 500 gallons in total volume! Bought this 60G cube a few years ago and finally got to put it into use. Decided to put it behind the anemone tank and utilize for frags/grow out as well as house my female tomato clownfish. Planned on putting the male fire clownfish in once able to catch it.
