  1. They are turning my house upside down! I am sure there are other that still have their tank running and not being active on WAMAS. Anyway, it's coming up on its 6th years being upgraded/moved. Would love to keep it another 9-10 years before the next upgrade.
  2. Updated: Tanks still running but not perfect. Had a small leak (about 1 soaked paper towel per day) on the emergency drain by the bulkhead . I was so busy that I have to change paper towel everyday for 3 weeks and finally got around and fixed it last week. But in return I got some enjoyable moments! meet my adopted kids Kittens by Chuck, on Flickr
  3. Should be a pretty easy task to do it yourself. Just siphon out most of the water in the tank/sump into a large tub or Rubbermaid trashcan and move the tank. Then refill your siphoned water back. No more than 20-30 minutes. You don't even have to remove rock or fish.
  4. Welcome back bro! best wishes to your wife and for quick recovery.
  5. asterina starfish. to me, it's harmless. some reefers claimed that they eat zoas.
  6. Shuffle my clownfish around and made a home for the storm clownfish. Looks like it’s destined to be a female.? Bullet holes clownfish pair are happy to have their home back to normal.
  7. Ugh! I did it again. PBT has been on my wanted list however I ended up with more than what I planned.
  8. Congrats! ?
  9. Yeah! Some fish are almost impossible to catch. Have you try bottle trap? or Find something it’s attracted to and put that inside a fish trap to try to lure it into the trap. or use clear netting and tied it to two stick and have someone try cornering it using te he netting then net it out. or try hook and fish line. last resort is to quickly drain your tank, catch it and refill your tank.
  10. ☹️ Lmk if you need a hand.
  11. Thanks! I hope so. I have no luck with acros. They would grow very well from frags and then died once they turn into a colony. And then there is stuff that doesn’t grow. I have a frag of pink lemonade for 6 years and it’s still a frag. Almost zero grow ?. One thing that grow like crazy is the heliopora (blue ridge). It’s suffocated the corals around it. Got to find a way to control it before it take over the tank.
  12. yeah. keep the stuffs and setup again once you're settled.
  13. yeah, however my euphyllia doesn't grow as fast as they used too and occasionally lose a head or two. Maybe I am losing my green-thumb (reef-thumb ).
  14. Looking good!
  15. Cleaned my tanks and powerheads last night and decided to make a quick tanks video update. corals doing fine except the white hammer colony which the 2 filefish continue to nipped on. Oh! notice a beautiful giant aiptasia near the end of the video . Can't show the video without my favorite tank organizer.
  16. Keep telling myself not to buy anymore fish. But since I evicted the tomato and fire clowns I can't resist these bullet holes clownfish They have quite strange behavior the first few days. kept swimming against the powerhead. Here a video.
  17. Looking good! however, it does look lonely without fish
  18. Great advice and reminder Eric. Yup! It’s always best to prepare and have a backup plan in place. I’ve been through several ordeals including a 5 days power outage during the summer month and came out unscratched. Since then, I tried to keep a backup equipment (portable gen, return pump, heater, powerhead, t5 light) just to buy time until I can get a replacement. A little investment will prevent tank crash and more importantly stress and anxiety.
  19. very cool! and definitely acro hoarder
  20. I have had them. they don't seem to do any harm to fish. Actually, they don't really work for anything it's a gimmick!
  21. This thing is bright! even brighter when looking at it in person. jawbreaker by Chuck, on Flickr
  22. Looks great! where did you find that long polyps toadstool?
  23. Local reefer friend dropped off some goodies a few days ago. What's a great way to kickoff Summer! Thank you @WheresTheReef Many of my stick corals has been declining, too busy and lazy to hunt down for the source. One thing I noticed is my heliopora (blue coral) is taking over the tank and suffocate any coral in it's path. Can't believed such invasive coral is classified as endangered/vulnerable! Anyway, here are the goodies . enjoy and Happy Summer reefing WAMAS friends.
