  1. Nice tank! Hope you followed through with it this time around. ?
  2. Bullet holes clownfish loss part of their host.
  3. My 11+ year old sixline wrasse has something on its mouth for the past year or so. I think he got bucked teeth. Still eating well. i went into ky YouTube and dig out my very first post of the reef tank. Can’t believe it coming up it its 10 years. Some of the fish and corals are still in my current tank.
  4. First of all, Congrats with your new home!!! Sorry to hear about your loss during the move. Glad you got help from many Wamas Members and continues with the reefing addictions ?. Can’t wait to see your rebuild in your new home. Best wish!
  5. Thanks! lesson learned with rental property especially in Montgomery county, MD. Was originally planned to downgrade to the rental property once retired, but things took for the worst. Will definitely never rent again for sure. The pair of clownfish in the cage belongs to the a friend on WAMAS that recently moved. I am holding them until he get his tank backup.
  6. Well! Finally getting some breathing space back. After many months of repairs and it now on the market. as for my reef tanks, I took a chance with chemiclean several months ago and got rid of the green cyano algae. only one torch colony and purple sponge was affected. I supposed they like algae water! The darn heliopora (aka blue coral) is taking over and suffocating any corals on it's path. I guess, a partial or total breakdown is needed to get rid if it. Or perhaps, let it be and have a tank of fish/heliopra only tank Here is the recent photos of my tank after water change and cleaned.
  7. I have glass covers on 2 of 3 my tanks. the only con is that the glass cover needs cleaning once a while.
  8. Family of six! busy little bee . Great to see you're back reefing bro. Looking forward to your build!
  9. Sorry to hear about your mishap Eric. I had green cyano in the past few months too and was not able to up keep my tanks due to my busy schedule. Finally got my property back in nov. after 2 years of no rent, now I have being working on fixing it and sell it. no more rental, it was my first and last . Anyway, due to busy schedule, I took a chance with Chemicleam using only 1/2 of the recommended dosage. Overall, I was able to get rid of the cyano but the torch and yellow octospawn are not doing well. for some reason, the torch was doing great when green cyano took over the tank. Once I got rid of the house and get my back rent I can give my tank more attention and back to reefing . Meanwhile, I have some pocillopora and a few easy sps that I can frag for you if you like.
  10. Oh! Forgot to mention. This baby finally has a clone after 9 long years
  11. Hello It has been quite a while. Browsing around but not much activity. Anyway, has a bumpy road in the last 2 years. Finally was able to take procession of my rental property back a few weeks ago. Now working with insurance (a pain) to get the house back together. Not getting into detail, but non payment for 2 years and great deal of damages to property! well, tanks has some set back but I was able to continue the hobby nonetheless. Currently battling green cyano. I replaced my rodi filters and has been keeping up with water changes and appears to have improved a bit. I am thinking of selling off some of the corals to simplify my tanks. overall, I think I handled everything well so far.
  12. Chaeto is chaeto. Why does it make any different whether you get it from a vendor or another reefer? If you afraid of pest, then give it a good rinse. my 2 cent
  13. To view you can select the setting button and change quality of the video. as for upload, you need to go to your account settings and choose the quality of your uploads.
  14. Yeah! Always find something in the tank when you’re not looking. Also discovered some old school brown-green mushrooms that started to bounce too ?
  15. Could be the jawbreaker I loss years ago or it's just a green mushroom that bleached. It's pretty bright though! Couldn't capture it with my phone. Putting it in a cup with dead coral for it to attach to. will see how it turns out.
  16. I took a dinner knife and were able to get quite a bit of the heliopora off near the sunset monti. but my back is killing me . Since the heliopora is soft I was able to pry some off the rock. While there are areas that won't budge. will mess with it again when I get a chance.
  17. Looking great! just select 1080hd on the setting to view in HD. Man! you got all sort of new techs. I am still reefing with old school stuffs Can you use some kind of mounting clips to hold the fan? one with a screw on one end.
