  1. Yep, ATB 840 v2. Comes with an extra pump and the red and purple pinwheels.
  2. If you have second thoughts about it, I'd be happy to trade you an ATB 840 for it!!
  3. Let me know if you're going to get rid of him. I could use him in my tank.
  4. I got rid of my Deltec 851 and have regretted it to this day. Fantastic design and perform better than most skimmers out there, including all of the cones. I agree with Bob, Rob is nuts. Maintenance on these things is a breeze and Eheims run forever. If the Eheims ever go bad you can always replace with the Sicces or a some DC pumps.
  5. That's normal behavior for a clow to suck on the host. I had a pair of clowns hosting a bubbletip and both of them would do it.
  6. I'm really sorry to hear this Marissa. Let me know if there is anything that I can do to help.
  7. If you've got aptaisia and majanos, just use kalk paste to kill them. I have some kalk you can have and I'm close. Don't buy over the counter stuff for that......more than likely it will just be kalk paste in a bottle and cost you way more than it should.
  8. Gilbert - I have a sump, skimmer abd refugium setup that should work for you. PM me for details. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 2
  9. The difference is that the LFS in the area have a method of QTing their fish if they are sick. Petco has a general policy about just dumping the fish in the tanks and seeing how they fair. They also put large fish in little 10g tanks, while most of the LFS that I have been to have more appropriately sized tanks for the larger fish. It's my experience that the folks working at Petco are not very knowledgeable and don't really care about the livestock. And you're right, people can spend their money wherever they want, but I personally would want to hear about bad practices, like this thread is telling us, so I can make an informed decision as to where to avoid getting sub-par livestock. I would expect to see that about any other vendor as well. That's why we have the vendor experience forums.
  10. Travis - don't mess with that stock POS. nano-reef systems makes great skimmers. I ran one on my 34g Solana and it kicked the crap out of an Aqua-C. They make good quality stuff to. It's one of the owners from Euro-Reef (that's why they changed the name to Reef Dynamics......the brothers split......one started Reef Dynamics and one nano-reef systems. http://www.nanoreefsystems.com/
  11. Brian- Why not sell the pumps you have on RC or here and get 2 Sicce PSK1000 pumps and install them at recirc? Two Sicces will cost you about what one 1262 from Reef Dynamics will and they kick butt. Avast has the pumps in stock I believe. It's really easy to do. I'd be happy to help if you need.\ Steve
  12. He mentioned getting the T5 parts ready so it sounds like he's going to have a combination of lighting.
  13. What a lucky shot! I had one of my clowns jump and found it flopping around behind the sump in a bunch of salt creep. It took me a good five minutes to find it, but I dropped it back in the tank and it was like nothing happened. Resilient little guys.
  14. Hellooo, helloooo, helloooo. Echooo, echooo, echooo. Need the answer to this so I can order a pump from you.
  15. Do you guys make your own impellers for the PSK1000 or are they the stock ones? I may need a new one.
  16. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!
  17. Oh, and I have 2 250w over my tank in a small room and all I need is a small fan to keep it at 80 degrees.
  18. Stick with the radiums. LEDs can't touch them yet. Maybe in 5 years they will, but I have yet to see a LED tank that can compare. Now I expect Rob to chime in.
  19. Eric - How deep is your tank? Just wondering if 150w will be enough. I have a 27" deep tank and run 250w and can grow SPS on the sandbed.
  20. I think I'm covered folks. This is just something for a 12x18 area that is going to be 6-8" deep. Rob - I think a D120 would be a little overkill for that.
