  1. Hahaha darn...I can't wait till I get my 125g up and running. I'm going to neglect the living poop out on my next BTA . BTW, awesome reference with the arm flailing and cocked punches
  2. Man, I just need that "one" coral that would take care of my retirement....I'm sure the guy selling these things is set for life
  3. Hahaha....I can't stop laughing BN251(Ben) I know you got some nice Zoos! Waiting for you to come alive!
  4. This is a nightmare. I've put a few new fishes in my DT without QTing and doing this made my fish catch ich, but like you said it would go away after a while. When I introduced new my Purple tang into my DT and it had like ich for a month, but as soon as I soaked their food in selcon/garlic/aminos then fed it to them for a whole week, the ich went away and I haven't seen the ich stuff since.
  5. Most of the BTAs I've seen/owned look much like the second picture. I can't for the life of me make any of my btas super bulbous like the way I want it.
  6. I'm sure this has already been a topic here, but geez...really? http://reefbuilders.com/2013/09/25/record-2425-2polyp-palythoa-frag-reminds-zp-collectors-business/ Hey BN251 where ya at? I know you have some of these
  7. I read somewhere NOT to use Walmart RO water because of poor maintenance/high tds/etc. Make sure you test the RO from Wally-World! But if you're just doing softies and LPS I think you'll be fine.
  8. Welcome to Wamas! Loads of information here so don't be shy and ask!
  9. I've had this issue before. I say just give it some time, eventually he's going to get hungry and eat. Nothing to worry about
  10. Sorry, I didn't mean to offend anyone or come off as a ****** using the pejorative term "lazy". I think this is a great forum. I have never bashed on anybody or have any interest to. I've learned a lot from this forum and you (Origami) are very helpful, and do a lot for this forum. It is much appreciated from me. I try and offer my positive 2 cents when I can, but I am no where near a "Master Reefer". I don't bash on anybody, I just simply read to refresh, then move on. I have notice the newbies having a hard time here on the forum. Luckily for me, when I joined it was with a warm welcome at my first meeting and some free frags from other members. You and Origami are absolutely right, and I agree! Sorry guys if I stirred some detritus up. Just wanted to people to know this is a great forum aside from the occasional ignorance.
  11. This forum has been very helpful when I first joined a few years ago and still even now. I met some really decent individuals on this forum and the meetings were awesome. I recently got back in this forum because of a new build (125 gallon mix reef) and it is definitely a different vibe. I asked a question about a new salt mix that I wasn't familiar with nor was there enough google info about it. I got a few responses that made me scratch my head a little, but for the most part it was very informative. I have notice some members posting things that could easily be researched on google, but I have to admit sometimes asking is a lot easier than doing the research With that being said, I agree...people should maybe put in a little more effort into Googling and not be so "lazy"
  12. Okay, I'm sticking with the 250's. I hope to develop the first mini "Dormero Rotes Ross" 125g mixed reef tank with these lights
  13. Yeah I really liked how your 14k's looked. You think the 3x (400wMH) setup would just be an overkill?
  14. Oh yeah, I remember that! were you using 14ks?
  15. So I was thinking of putting this over my 72"x18"x24" tank. It will have 3x (250wMH), 4x 60" (80W) T5 actinics, 6 LEDs per MH bulb. anyone use these lights before? any recommendations? I figured this would be a great All-in-one type of light. Was thinking of doing a mixed reef, sps, lps, etc. Think these lights are enough? They do sell the 3x (400wMH) version but I think that might be an overkill.
