  1. Funds are available in Paypal right away. He can't take funds back once he sends you money. You can transfer the money into your bank account, It takes 3 days. To be sure I'd wait 3 days from when you get the money before sending the item. This is completely false. Funds can be taken back and have been in the past. They also know how to get access to your account to continually funnel money from it. There are articles like the following all over the internet. http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/how-scammers-target-your-paypal-account-how-to-never-fall-for-it/
  2. Has anyone tried this on Corals? For the same price you get a tube about 3 times the Superglue Gel. It says it's solvent free and no VOCs.
  3. Cool, that will help as well. Thanks.
  4. Thanks Dave - should have made that clearer. It's the power outage I'm worried about.
  5. I'd been through 20 tanks before you ever joined our little group, so yes, it will probably take quite a bit of server space!!
  6. I'm trying to figure out a way to program my ACIII to wait 5 minutes before turning on the recirc pump. Does anyone have some sample programming to help me out?
  7. Ahhhhhhhh........the porn music to go with it. Nice touch.
  8. I've had these clowns for over 3 years. They've always been paired but I never saw any evidence of eggs. Tonight, however, I watched them for about 5 minutes and it looked like they were laying eggs. I got about 1-1/2 minutes of it recorded.......the female would go in for a few seconds and shimmy, then the male would go in and shimmy. I also saw the male's goo coming out. Pretty cool.
  9. That's what I call some serious customer service!!
  10. I'm waiting for someone to come out with a light combination of MH/T5/LED all in a single bulb.......that only costs $20. Oh, that and a wife that will clean my skimmate locker!!
  11. I do have a controller and I will be hooking this thing up to it. Between having a reservoir with a certain amount of water, having a pressure switch, AND having it on a controller I should be safe. But with my luck the tank will still find a way to overflow!! This has really gotten me thinking back to the autotopoff.com redundant design. One float switch turns it on and if it gets stuck there is another float switch to turn it off. HEY AVAST GUYS........any plans to come out with a redundant ATO? We've found the pressure switch kryptonite.
  12. I actually WAS out of town. Came home today to find this. I think I'm just going to let the water evaporate and get it back down to the level it was.
  13. I have an Avast ATO on my system. Not sure if the pressure switch/sensor went bad or what but I ended up with my ATO getting stuck on and overflowing my sump. Once I noticed this I was able to turn off the ATO pump and start removing the water from my stand and floor. My salinity has gone down to 1.024 currently but not sure if that's accurate because I just found it and it may go down some more. Question - Would I be better off just letting it get back to normal over the next couple of days through evaporation or should I mix some higher salinity water and do a water change? Here's the kicker........I'm getting ready to go to New York for a couple of days! Just my luck.
  14. +1........I've seen lots of folks get the Elos tanks and sell the skimmer for something better. Apparently Elos can make a helluva tank but fall way short on their protein skimmers. Spend your money on something that you know works.
  15. If it froze up on the outside unit, just leave it off until it thaws and turn it on again.........and keep your fingers crossed.
  16. Yeah, the wife was not happy about that!
  17. Hahahahahaha - I figured out the smell. A large turbo snail got flipped over and stuck in my external overflow between the pipe and the tank wall. It was in a spot that I couldn't see it and every time I went to smell the tank water, I was smelling right near the snail. Unbelievable how one snail can stink up half a house!!
  18. Nope, no black spots on it. I cut a small piece off and it didn't smell. the leather was still very firm as well. I don't know what is making the water smell. Time for a water change.
  19. I was afraid you were going to say that!!
  20. I have a large Tyree neon toadstool leather. It molts all the time (first time I thought it was dying), but this time the tank water is stinky.......nasty stinky. All fishies are accounted for so I'm wondering if it is actually dying this time (because of the smell) or it it's just big enough now that when it molts the dead flesh will stink up the water. Any ideas?
  21. Lowe's and Home Depot are also selling a deck coating that is supposed to put a thick layer of a liquid composite over wood. I'll be that would be an awesome stand liner too.
  22. Most of the recirc pumps are also submersible. Is it a bubble blaster pump? If so, you can put it in the sump.
  23. Technically you could count it as another fish tank.
  24. You know, you could get my MRC beckett skimmer and that will take care of ALL of your tanks! Plus, it's external and you have more options of where to put it.
