  1. My pocci is tough as nails. No idea!
  2. Yea I have seen this pest before. You can drop them off at my house for proper disposal before they rapidly uptake nutrient and starve out everything. They look ugly too nobody wants them Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I believe there is a species of them that eat healthy zoas but they are rare and I have never had one. I have seen them munching only dead or dying zoas (rarely will I get sick zoas but if I do they show up quick). They clean up the mess thank goodness. They won't touch the healthy ones but sometimes scoot around in them looking for food. So my conclusion after watching the hundreds of them in my tank for years.....sometimes people start to lose their zoas, the stars show up to clean the dead material and the aquarist blames them for causing the problem. At least 100-200 asterina stars live in my tank at all times..... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Are you interested in LPS or SPS??!! Excited to help pick out some
  5. I loooooove NOLA!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Not sure on the first. Second I would guess branching Aussie " toxic green hammer. Only because it's common. I agree with Tom Origami though
  7. Colors are improving. Can't wait to get them where they should be. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I have a blue tech attached to T5. It is brighter than you would think. The cost is border line crazy but I guess it's worth the convenience
  9. They don't like high flow. I'm sure that's not the problem but throwing it out there
  10. i am a true believer that the tank needs to be older than 9months. I been keeping nems a few years no problems and the test one I transferred to my new tank suffered till the tank got older.
  11. How often do you feed? Maybe tank is too clean
  12. Last I saw he was selling the tank to pay for his lawyer and was worried about going to jail. We haven't heard from him since
  13. LOL there is no better way to spend your sat evening than getting zapped with bristle worms then soaking fresh wounds in acids. This hobby is so awesome!
  14. I remember tridacna gigas being $80. Maybe supply is a problem? I haven't seen them for less than$900 lately
  15. Great management. I really appreciate gaint oaks too I really hope it pulls through along with the tank of course. Is it a white oak? Maryland state tree not sure about va. Do you have a pic in its prime? If it doesn't make it or limbs are down let me know.
  16. HAHA yesssssassssss! Missed you man!
  17. I had a lot of problems keeping corals in my new tank when it was less than 6 months old. I would just chalk it up as new tank syndrome or you will drive yourself nuts with all the details.
  18. I bet they are unbelievably swamped right now. I just bought the new one that came out a couple weeks ago. I never thought I would buy one but it had some features that sucked me in. I'm sure I'm one of thousands that waited and I bet they can't handle it. Hope you get this resolved if you need me to temporarily hold some small frags for safe keep let me know. Stay on checking the alk like a hawk checking her nest. With all the changes and extra unknown consumption at night I bet it has fluctuated a little. Good catch and good luck with it!
  19. Are you doing test runs in salt water? Without thinking I test run mine in fresh water one day and had a class A freak out for a couple minutes until it hit me.
  20. Most pests are species specific. Flat worms only affect acropora. They won't eat birdnests, stylos, pocilloporas etc. I would throw pest idea out the window now if those are affected/sick. The worst problems with SPS I have seen are usually traced back to alkalinity fluctuation. The problem is stuff doesn't start showing symptoms until weeks after the accident. So it's very difficult to pinpoint SPS problem causers after they show symptoms. My LPS never seems to care about alk fluctuation
  21. Usually my SPS dies 2-3weeks after the mistake which makes it difficult to pinpoint.
  22. Final pieces Transferred! 125 is broken down
  23. My collonista snails come out at night. I love them. Wouldn't trade them for anything. They reproduce in aquaria which is awesome
