It sounds like an ASOV might have gone bad. I got mine replaced last year but it looks like it has gone bad again. I haven't got time to contact them yet.

i agree with you there. Why reinvent the wheel if you don't have to. Do you see any downside to using 3rd party chat application or is it fairly straight forward? Will there be any extra work on your end?

If you guys want professional quality work and something that you want to display, Bob (YbeNormal) is the man who can make that happen. You be hard pressed to find better quality work. The aquarium stand that he built for me and for others looked like a fine piece of furniture instead of a aquarium stand.

George, Don't feel like you're the only this happens to. I'm the Treasurer and Bob hasn't update my status either, and I also emailed him. What a stinker. LOL

I don't think he'll have a problem finding a buddy to dive with him. There are several experienced and newly certified divers in the club whom I'm sure will not turn down a chance to put in some diving time.

We have no problem for you to host it next weekend at your place. LOL

I use amquel plus in my discus tank for the past couple of years. great stuff.

If the accepted mentality is to let people learn the hard way, there would not be a reason for WAMAS to exist and most people who first get into the hobby would blow lots of money with little or no success. I'm sure someone out there can give you a much better advice than I. Since I'm no plumber, the easiest solution is to hook up something like a mag 9 or larger to a long hose.

I personally have never used it, but I've heard it from other people on other forums such as discus as a hobby who regretted of owning any of the Odyssea's product. If you want to get a sense of what you should get, ask the folks here what they use and why and use their input as a guide so that you buy exactly what you need and not waste your money.

Those were great photos. Granted many of those photos we've seen in aquariums, but it sure would be nice to see them in person out in the wild.

Holy, I didn't realize the price of the Eheim replacement impeller is $85. That's not cheap.

Dan suggested that I use the 1262 as a return pump for my set up. Not only does that put out very little heat, it's also very quiet.

Can we even use the mag pump externally? I heard that it's submersible only. As far as heat goes, I agree. The thing runs hot. I only use mine to pump water from the storage tank to the reservoir.

I see you left out one very crucial piece of equipment and that is a protein skimmer. I don't know if you already have one or have not gotten that far yet, but definitely don't forget to invest in a good protein skimmer. As for the MH light, my preference is the lumenbright 250W. You might also want to consider supplementing the MH light with arctinic light as well.

That is truly amazing work. I know what you mean about being in a place where you expect it to be quiet and when sudden noise appears unexpectedly, it can make the hair on the back of your neck stand on its end.
