  1. I agree. Let's be level headed about this and let not turn this into a full blown vendor/member bashing. We had a couple of weeks of peace, let keep it that way.
  2. I've never seen it turn brown before. You should stop using it until you know for sure what's in it. As for Kalwasser from Bulks Reef. Not sure how good it is in comparison to Brightwell and such, but it seems to work fine for me for now anyway.
  3. I notice that you mention that your pc is connected to a home connect switch box. I'm not familiar with that. Do you use a router at your house or do you connect everything through this switch box?
  4. Thanks for the correction. I looked at the container of Kalwasser last night and saw my mistake.
  5. I have been told that kalwasser is nothing more than calcium chloride and heard from others that not all are the same because of other minerals and such that are beneficial to corals are also added. Are there that much of a difference? Which brand do you guys recommend and why?
  6. Sorry Ha. It must have gotten lost in the shuffle. It's all squared away now. You can expect to get it by early next week. James
  7. I remember someone from WAMAS back when I first joined advising me to take pH reading from the tank and not from the RO/DI water. I think it might have been YBeNormal. Queloque, you have both Tom and I who can help you test the pH on your water.
  8. If you want, bring your water by my house tomorrow or Friday and we can test your water.
  9. You can't do that!!!! Everyone else waited at least a month or longer. It's only fair that you do the same.
  10. I'm working on this with Travis.

Email address Once I verify your membership renewal payment in paypal, I'll see if I can change your status back to member status and also let Dave Lin know so he can send you your updated membership card. James
  12. My DI was good for a bit more than a year. You can get water authority to come to your house and test your water for chlorine and chloramine level. They can also test the water that comes out of your ro/di unit to see how much it filtered out. I had Prince William water authority came out to our house 2 years ago and both the chlorine and chloramine level was close to toxic level when it came out of the tap, but it was at 0 after it passed through the RO/DI.
  13. For those of you who paid your membership fee and still waiting for your membership card, please send me a PM with the following information: 1. Full Name 2. Login information 3. Address 4. Phone # 5. Email address Once I verified your payment information, I will notify Dave Lin (Secretary) to send the membership card out to you. So far, I got a PM from DJboy98 and Amos. James
  14. Thanks. I'll check on the way home.
  15. I found an aitapsia in my tank that I need to kill. I heard the best way is to inject it with kalk solution. Do you know if I can get a syringe needle at places like CVS?
  16. Sure...and end up sleeping on the curb with it by my side. I'll pass for now.
  17. I found out that the AC3 doesn't have feature with date setting on it. The new Apex controller does.
  18. Thanks, Jon. I will have to check it out there as well.
  19. Anyone who uses ACIII by chance know how to program it so that the lights is not on for certain day of the week or program it to be on for x number hours on one day and another x number of hours on another day?
  20. When you guys do your water changes regularly, say every 3 to 4 days, do you notice if there is less crud for the skimmer to pull out of the water or about the same?
  21. If you need another hand, let me know. I can help as well.
  22. I want to thank Dan Lichens for helping me out when my GSA kalk stirrer motor died. The replacement unit came with a new motor that when Dan said it was quiet, he meant it. I powered it up in the kitchen to get the kalk that was already in the tube stirred up. I listened and listened and I couldn't hear a sound from it. On top of that, it works flawlessly again. Thanks, Dan.
  23. I'll see if I can get hold of Bob tonight and see what we can come up with.
