That is a lot of SPS for an LPS tank

Agreed.

As such, this has no home in a SPS tank:

Nice grabs from Sean! I want some too! smile.gif

He always has some really nice colonies in. I feel its easy to justify $75 for a whole nice colony when they look so good.!

completely agree on the colonies....i love frags of expensive stuff cause it makes an out of reach coral reachable...bet the more i look at the million + frags i have now , i probably woulda dont it differently if i started over....

some of my favorite corals are some of the colonies i got from sean, some granulosa's, and a few others. other good things is colonies grow faster so things fill up nicely and you get a good look at the growth patters so you know how it will fill in certain spaces. and for 75 bucks how can you beat the size.

i still love watching a frag get into a colony but man it takes a long time..

the other thing i like about a colony is taking a frag/mini colony off of it and placing it in a different location in the tank to see where it looks best...or giving to a local reefer to have a back up in case you ever loose it...i usually trade or give a cheap price of some of my prize corals to established tanks just in case the day comes when i need a backup...

Thanks, I do try hard to keep things very neat and clean. It drives me nuts to see beautiful tanks junked up with wires/cords and just crap all over the place.. I have a feeling your the same way, you have a very clean set up as well..

I completely agree.. I would rather buy one colony a month rathre than 8 frags a month. I also feel sean gets in some healthy stuff, or at least he wont sell it if its not healthy. All the colonies looked great last time I was in there.

Ryan, it will be a cold day in helll before I give that up..

you'll trade it eventually- you used to say the same thing about those plate corals and look where they ended up... ;)

But I still have my large brain coral that ive had for almost 5 years. I think I will add that acan to the never frag/never sell list..

The tank is looking great Travis! Keep us posted......by the way, my orange crush is starting to develop some purple blotches on it........so something to look forward to......

Thanks Darren, expectations were high, just trying to live up to them. You set a pretty high standard..

I am incredibly happy with the tank, thanks again.

Here is a pic of my new friend. Not the best pic, the fish is still a little shy so this will have to do. Thanks again Roni..!

he looks awesome there! that is seriously one of the nicest harlequin tusks I've ever seen :)

It is such a beauty.! I believe its an Aussie too. The markings on the tail and the rich blue stripes point that way. Its doing great, eating real well.. The rabbit has settled down now, and there coexisting fine. Its definitely submissive to the other fish for now. Its a great addition.!! I really cant thank you enough.!

Yep, the deep blue is indicitive of an Aussie tusk.

you're quite welcome. always good to see fish go to homes where they are appreciated and cared for ;) plus now i get to see him from time to time.

Roni, you know youre welcome over anytime. Maybe time for a beer next time.!

Chad, thats what I thought too, and thanks.!

Ryan, thanks. Yes it will probably eat the snails in due time. I dont have any crabs at the moment. I will add more if and when it eats them all. Small price to pay for such a beautiful fish.

So far its been eating frozen, pellets and flakes. By the looks of it, eating was never an issue. Its a thick healthy fish. I wouild say its a good 4".

Dont Tusks become the Super Tank boss eventually and bully everything known to man? Still gorgeous fish!
