I was talking about my new tank enclosure.

Bob (ybe) and I have been working on completing the oak facing to build my tanks into the wall.

Once we got the facing done and I finished sanding, Sonya went to work.

She stained all the face plates and the 14 doors in Golden Oak to bring out the beautiful wood grain in the oak we used.

Then she started each morning putting a coat of polyurethane on several pieces, putting a second coat on around 4:00 and a third coat on before sleeping.

She got up and did it all over again until we had three coats on all fronts and backs of everything.

It looks awesome.

Here's a few pics before:

It is so sweet and we are so happy.

Thanks to ybe's awesome wife for letting him have this much fun working with wood.

Chip and Bob,

Beautiful job, truly.

What are you keeping in the 2 smaller side tanks? How much room do you have behind the tanks, is it a room?

Love this look, can't wait to see it all done and stocked.............. hoping for a tank tour.

Bob - you have a wonderful talent.

I have 6 feet of bi fold doors behind the main tank so access is not much of an issue.

The top holes are for venting that is not complete yet.

We also have to put a few moldings around the edges.

It really sets the room off.
