Treesprite Very well said!! I wish I spent more time explaining to others basically in your words. :( In Person meetings enlighten people...It's what the club is all about! Missing that interaction will kill the club. I had some conversation with some people up in Reef Palooza a few weeks ago... I won't mention any names. Anyway this person has been in the business for a very long time and has seen different clubs around the country go downhill because of the lack of in person meetings for one reason or another. If we don't have in person meetings then we're just another online forum. Unfortunately there is already a leader in the "online forum realm". I am very glad the club is having an in person meeting, even if some people can't make it. I feel it's very important! even though I've been reefing forever Like Treesprite said there is a build up in enthusiasm with anticipation. Curtis

Hello Wamas, I'm just wondering what the plans are for an in person meeting since it's been a few years with everything that's been going on in the world. Yeah things are different NOW are we going to be able to meet in person? Maybe for the people who don't feel comfortable coming don't need to be involved? like stay home? Maybe we can just meet outside? I'm just hoping this hasn't turned into another online forum that's already out there...... I know I'm opening up a canna worms but it seems like no one's bringing it up. Just my thoughts. What are yours? Happy Reefing Curtis

I have never heard of this stuff. I I believe in cleanup crew, including the "whole set up" including cucumbers, urchin, as well as buying the correct amount for the size tank you have. This is course after going through the nasty set up and everything else that a new tank goes through. Just my 2 Cents Curtis

This is very sad news!! I still have my custom sump for my 240 in wall ,my auto top off he made. Also the weirdest frag tank you've ever seen at a WAMAS meeting I made when I was helping him pay off my stuff. This was in Annapolis working to pay off my Barter. This was over 10 years ago and I haven't seen his daughter since she was like 12! I will definitely send some money. He made a lot of Tanks/ acrylic products for high-end customers and he gave a lot of raffles items to WAMAS over the years as well. Payers for his daughter and and Grand daughter. Curtis

I have completely sanded down and refinished my 240 in wall tank it was a lot of work. if your Acrylic is cloudy that's not gonna be a good situation. I'm not acrylic master, But I did the deed of sanding my reef tank inside and out on the display panel. starting with 800 grit sandpaper and going up to 2500 grit paper wet sanding and then going into Novis polishes. 1,2,3 It's a long painstaking process but it'll come out like a brand new tank and you can remove scratches.

No I never mix my Kalk in my auto top off. My auto top off is controlled by a Spectra pure liter meter III that will dose the allotted amount, spaced out evenly throughout the 24 hour period. Therefore it will never overdose. But for other systems that are not using a litre meter III. For any freshwater top off you'd have to get a very, very reliable auto top off so it would never get stuck and overdose fresh water or Kalk water for that matter. JMO OK no problem starting the madness all over.

good advise! if you are dosing kalk, the way to do it is with a kalk reactor that is hooked to your auto top off water. This in my option is one of the best things you can do for a mixed reef tank not completely jacked up with tons of corals. then when needed dose 2 part(really 3 part),

IMO....The best thing is do a water 20% water change and get the new skimmer ASAP. The Skimmer is one of the most important pieces of equipment besides a Fresh water top-off.

Good advise. someone will want them if you can trade out for other rocks.
