  1. I have a feeling it is one of my old austera (or what was sold as a.austera by liveaquaria). A few folks here got frags from me like 7-8 years ago.
  2. In high light cali tort ^^ will be all blue without green, but it is still different hue of blue than Oregon. Yours in not OT.
  3. I was going to ask if you got them all from the same source :( that would be my guess. Try a different supplier, see what happens.
  4. Let’s hope it was not brook. Keep an eye on the gills, swimming at 45 degrees, and white patches on skin. Rapid respiration is usually the first symptom. Are your clowns cb or wc?
  5. I think you will regret it in the long run. There are so many frags out there to choose from, why would you get some unseen frags? Where is the fun in it? And personally I would rather do a Battle Box instead of WWC. Value is subjective and changes almost every couple of months as supply and demand fluctuates.
  6. Sounds like brooklynella. How long have you had this fish? Any new additions to the tank? How are other fishes today?
  7. Many phytos can be frozen. Just get nanno and freeze it in icecube tray, using the smallest cube size you can find. https://reedmariculture.com/product_instant_algae.php
  8. Try feeding with Coral Sprint from Fauna Marin.
  9. I have been struggling with flickr :( i copy bbcode (that in itself is a struggle), paste and when I preview the post, I only see the code. Maybe it will post as a picture once I click submit... let me try. Edit - it worked. wow.
  10. Triggers like to wedge themselves between rocks at night. He probably overdid it, and got stuck. Keep offering food, even on a feeding stick.
  11. Love them. My favorite fish of all times
  12. Brook usually kills very fast, most fish die in 3-5 days if not treated with formalin. There is this distinctive white sheen on the body, flared gills, swimming at 45 degrees. Velvet is also a fast killer. You will see fine white dust on the bottom of a container after fw dip, if infestation is high enough. I would switch to tank transfer method in combination with copper, if your fish get re-infected with ich. Take close up high resolution pictures of the infected fish and post it here for ID.
  13. I would treat for 7 days with furan in the water continuously, not just a bath.
  14. Rest in peace, Jos. I will always have fond memories of you and your store.
  15. Sorry to hear about the tank. I will give you frags of pc rainbow and superman. PM when ready.
  16. Hopefully he will recover on his own. Once tangs have been in captivity for a few years, they become tough. I have a 20-year old powder blue, he is stronger than ever.
  17. Get a cleaner wrasse from liveaquaria. Those eat everything and do their job. I have not bought new fish in a long time, and now I see diseases that I have not seen 10-15 years ago. Many are asymptomatic or like your case, mild and strange. Keep QT running. If he turns for the worse, put in him in hypo for starters. Can you treat his tank with Prazi?
  18. The tank is upside down currently, as we added s.haddoni some time ago. She has been misbehaving, spawning every six weeks or so. She is over 20"
  19. If she is eating and acting fine, then there should not be any problems. Just watch for inflamation on the underside of her belly. There are things you can do when a female is impacted, but you are not there yet
  20. Could go either way - reabsorb or get eggbound. Is her ovipositor out? How many days is she overdue?
  21. ^^ what John said. Make sure to measure alk at the same time daily. Keep an eye on calcuim levels as well, alk and calcium should be balanced.
  22. Thank you for your interest, Sahin. I will take some pics and post.
