  1. As we completely re-aquascaped the tank in the past month and a half, I thought it was the right time to add this little guy He came out of QT 2 weeks ago and doing quite well. The tank is still re-cycling with the new rock, but we did not sustain any coral losses. All should be back to normal in a month or so.
  2. I dip all my "deepwater" (of which I have many) in Coral Rx for 3 min, not more. Have not lost a single one.
  3. I agree with everything Coral Hind mentioned above. Best place for a haddoni is on the sand bed by the rock. It will dig itself under the rock and all the way to the glass bottom. Wear gloves when handling the animal. You can read more in the Anemones FAQ sticky on ReefCentral, which I co-wrote http://reefcentral.c...d.php?t=1381958
  4. I think they are just setting up house for now. He is indeed too small for spawning.
  5. Lugols is harsh on SPS. If you plan on dipping them, I would stick with Revive or Coral Rx. I would not add it to SPS tank. There are better alternatives, if you need to increase iodine/iodide. They are difficult to measure, though. You should be getting enough of it with regular waterchanges.
  6. I am with David. I would leave him alone for now. Prazi should have taken care of internal parasites.
  7. Scott, these feeds are very concentrated. You are only using a couple of mls per 5g bucket to feed and a few drops to enrich. Deformities and misbarring go down substantially. I do not have comparison numbers, sorry.
  8. yes, you should be. Ditch nanno, you can use Rotigrow Plus to grow rots and enrich the ones for feeding the fry with N-Rich High Pro or similar wealth of info here http://www.reedmariculture.com/product_rotigrow.html also on ReefCentral clownfish forum under FAQ section and here http://www.lightning-maroon-clownfish.com/ I will give you Otohime in different sizes once you have the fry.
  9. Speaking of gems that came from Roozens about 7 years ago
  10. Keep in mind that Formalin depletes O2, so increase oxygenation in the QT.
  11. It is unusual, but it happens. Someone on RC has a female white bonnet clown that spawns by herself. Clowns are weired.
  12. I run GHL doser and love it. I dose over 24 hours.
  13. Here is FTS. I am not a fan of these kind of pics, as corals get lost in perspective, IMHO
  14. Lighting is the same, mixture of MH and LEDs. We did add another multicolor+UV LED strip in the back (Steve's LED, they seem nicer that Rapid). I really cannot say that MHs work better than LEDs for me. My frag tank has been under LEDs for over a year, and colors are good, not different from mother colonies under MH in the main tank.
  15. Impressive! I am not adventurous enough to have such huge tank
  16. They hang out together, but I would not say they are together all the time. I will get FTS one of these days
  17. Added these three guys to the tank couple of months ago. They are great!
  18. Lots of info here http://coral.aims.gov.au/speciesPages/ Your tank looks good
  19. I use all three and they are great + Elos Mg test. How is the tank coming along, Laura?
  20. It is recommended to treat velvet for 21 days with copper at 0.5ppm. I am afraid velvet will come back if you only treated for 3 days.
  21. I once took a powder brown tang from a member tank in Falls Church and drove straight to my house. Next morning he had ich. So I would say yes to QT
  22. We are still without power. Tanks are runnig off a generator. What a nightmare. Wish us luck
  23. You can use Prazi with antibiotics. I would use these two for now. And separate the two fish with eggcrate. Shipping stress provokes a lot of problems, I would not really blame DD for all of what you are dealing with. I always tell customers to QT my captive bred baby clowns after shipping. You just never know.
