  1. Massage chair and food? I should have come over and helped! Looking good. Next time I'm in Winchester I'll have to stop by again. My build will look similar with the blue pipe schedule 80 fittings and pure reef sump.
  2. Rural King has free shipping on Ace Root Mold tanks
  3. I seriously thought about a Dream Box but just couldn't get myself to spend the money or the lead time on a custom one. Went with Pure Reef (after seeing yours Alan) and an RD 230 from NAGA. Im also a fan of GF piping. Mainly because I use to work near a Graingers but now just order through Zoro. Does anyone else locally carry them?
  4. A maintenance service
  5. Most corals I would agree the fad will pass but jawbreakers still seem to do well. I would grow them out until they have start showing some red. People usually scoop those up quick on the forums.
  6. Will you be going with Miracles overflows or having them drill it for something else?
  7. Shoveled, painted a room and did a WC. Tacos and beer up next.
  8. I finally got around to installing mine a few weeks ago. Love it!
  9. Could you show how your leveling feet are attached? Did you get the uprights end tapped and leveling feet threaded in or are using baseplates to attatch them? I contacted 80/20 once to give me a spec for the strength of end tapping but they could not give me an answer.
  10. How about 350g? http://www.reef2reef.com/threads/16-foot-350-gallon-reef-build.204682/
  11. I set mine up last night as well. I skipped bolting it down since I don't really see it going anywhere and my hand is too big to get into my barrel. Looks great and hopefully flooding my laundry room is a thing of the past....
  12. That is a fresh water show.
  13. The same way I get sucked into watching tv shows I bought a bottle. The hype made me do it! I didn't really have much of an issue to begin. Only a couple spots here and there. After a week I can say it's def doing something. Algae turns dark almost black and then starts falling apart. I't does feel like buying snake oil but hey it's working.
  14. I was talking to a LFS once that mentioned that this has happened before. I was mind blown then let alone now to hear it happened at someone's home. I remember after one of my first posts here a member messaged me that I was welcome to come over and he would show me the ropes. I couldn't be more grateful. Many members have been nice enough to have me over and it's a shame things like this could shy people away from being so inviting. However I would completely understand someone wanting to only do public meetings. Maybe I'm too much of an optimistic but I myself will continue to have faith in people and specially our club.
  15. I used the same method as Seth. I have used it with zero losses so far (knock on wood). I have used it on favias, acans, hammers, torches, zoas and palys. I don't think I would try a chalice though and like mentioned def not sps.
  16. I saw a build thread on R2R that had a sand bed up in the rocks that he called a lagoon. I tried last night to find it last night with no luck. If I come across it ill post the link.
  17. Yep. Aptasia.
  18. I have always read ceramic magnets are safe. To pay it safe maybe one of these would work for you? http://www.avastmarine.com/collections/avast-built/products/magnet-mount http://www.avastmarine.com/collections/avast-built/products/mag-pair
  19. That's the plan! I really like this 160 so I have my sights on the 220. Ok that makes sense comes down to contact time. Thanks for digging that up.
  20. I can how a skimmer can be oversized running a tank too clean but what makes one too small? Is it just skimmer cup filling too quick? Not enough contact time? I ask because originally I wanted to run 2 separate systems. After much thought it will be much cheaper to tie both tanks into one sump. I don't have to buy double the equipment and gain the stability of a larger system. The skimmer (Nyos 160) I currently have is running on a 100g rated for 250g. It will eventually be tying into a 220. I figure I can get away with running it for some time until stocking levels force me to upgrade?
  21. Cobalt's exploding was a known issue for some time mostly with the 200w version. They apparently fixed the issue. I have a 150w version I'm using in my AIO. I felt comfortable enough with it after speaking to them at Macna last year. It's hard to beat the form factor.
  22. I was thinking you meant more like this...
  23. I was not when I went through my first build. I liked the artistic rock work. Then quickly ran into the same issue of where to put corals. Now I understand the fruit stand...
  24. How's your chalk bass doing? How's it do with the yellow assessor? Still on the fence about my stock list but I currently have a tailspot blenny with a yellow assessor trio.
