Fed my tank freshly hatched brine shrimp tonight. As I was staring at the tank I noticed a couple smaller blobs moving slowly. I only found a couple. They almost look like tiny jellies the way they propel through the water and appear to have little tentacles. So what am I looking at here? Here’s a link to a vid I took. The main tools I keep around are tongs, Julian’s thing, and an acrylic rod as my poking stick.

My six line started out peaceful for quite some time. Maybe because it was smaller. Then he went full a hole. He started picking on my mandarin which is my favorite fish. Six line now lives in the sump.

Just got power back! Only fish loss as of now is a really nice big blue tang. Def bummed. The lid was off for the bubblers before I got the generator and at some point it jumped out.... We’ll see how the corals look in a couple days.

The basement is getting cold though so I finally bought a generator. Much more peace of mind. I now have both tanks return pumps and heaters running.

Power went out at 5am for 6 minutes. We have not had power go out once in the 4 years we have lived at this house. Unfortunately power went out again about an hour ago. On my way in to work I picked up several battery powered bubblers at Walmart. Guess I’m going home early today.

I’m seriously considering getting an external refuguim built and not having to worry about cramping into my sump that was not built with a refugium in mind. At the time I thought I was going with a Cheeto reactor but I can’t justify the cost!

I bought them for my lagoon 50 but did not like how they mounted with the clips. I would like to silicon them in place but would be hard to give it the required cure time. I haven’t put much thought into yet... I want mine for the added surface skimming and volume but the if your just looking to keep fish out I believe IM sells a fish guard.

If willing to do a single drain then you could look at the Xaqua INOUT overflow.

I don't know the specs on the light but what about the Aurora?

I didn't want to risk carrying them on. I put the BAO frag transports in a small cooler in my luggage. Checked them. No problem whatsoever ever. Some people online were saying the TSA agents let them go through no problem after testing the water as they had seen many come through at that point. Some said they were turned away. Not a risk I wanted to take.

I used T-Slot from 80/20.net but if your cables are rusted and your happy with how they are currently mounted I would just replace the cables. How I mounted mine from the back.

I always get the "Is this still available?" message by several people be it here, CL, R2R or anywhere really. I respond yes it is still available. Never to be heard from again. So what was the point of that? While not CL but related One of the most frustrating experiences was when I sold a WWC Bounce on R2R. Toooons of back and forth with several people. One guy asked for pics and videos seemingly very interested. Negotiated a price. Late night he texts me pictures and videos of his WWC Bounce collection. He was just trolling me the whole time... Next person says they will take it and send payment in the A.M. Cool. Well next day he says he was about to send payment but after consulting with an expert he determined it was worth $200 less then my asking price (I had priced it very fair as it was a large piece). If I agreed he could send me payment in 2 days.... Another one goes into great detail to get the lineage on my peice. I told him everything I could and we negotiated a price as I told him I just wanted it sold after dealing with so many tire kickers. He said he hated wasting peoples time and that he was very interested no BS. Next day he offers to trade me what essentially amounted to a pack of bubble gum... Last guy messages. "Ill take it what is your PayPal address?" 15 minutes later I received payment. Easy peasy no BS no drama. Where was he the whole time?!?!?!

Massage chair and food? I should have come over and helped! Looking good. Next time I'm in Winchester I'll have to stop by again. My build will look similar with the blue pipe schedule 80 fittings and pure reef sump.
