  1. Hmm! very tempted...(but still adore my hippo). BTW, are "purple tang" really purple or it's dark blue? I have never seen one in person. Seen pictures online, but maybe they are under certain type of light or photoshopped.
  2. Just a bit worry about my baby hippo tang.
  3. Yellow tang disappeared during my vacation. The seller told me the purple tang is about 4-5 inches. So, my major concern would the baby hippo (1.5 inch). Oh well! maybe just keep my eye on a small blue Caribbean tang and another yellow tang.
  4. Has anyone experience with purple tang? I read that they are much more aggressive than every other tangs. Saw one for sale (quite far away too), but not sure if it will play well with my existing fish.
  5. Only if we can stop buying tank stuffs that we don't really need, then money will not be an issue!
  6. They sting any coral nearby. I constantly move my corals or the rock the anemone attached to.

Nice nano, I have several Asterina Starfish that come and goes. They never bother any of mine coral. I wouldn't remove unless you see them multiplying.
  8. Very nice fish.
  9. If you are doing it by yourself. Then, I'd use the hand cart and blanket. If you have help, slide it down to the landing and turn.
  10. get a outlet tester like this: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/pro-audio/american-recorder-technologies-ground-fault-outlet-receptacle-tester?src=3WWRWXGP If you have a harbor freight close by, they sell it much cheaper $2-3. Sound like you have a loose ground or return wire somewhere. Sometime, they (electricians) connect return and ground wires to another outlet. Newer outlets are made of plastic and will cracked over time and poorly terminated wires will came loose. The tester will give you an idea as to what wrong with your outlet.
  11. Awesome!

  15. Try my Invisi-trap. Works on every fish in my tank except the velvet damsel (had to torn down everything to get him). good luck! here the pic: http://www.flickr.com/photos/10002234@N07/7711043604/in/photostream
  16. Don't think so. IMO, UV might kills other good bacteria as well. Beat them before, should be easy this time.
  17. Just a little bit. Not too bad. don't want it to exploded like last time.
  18. almost a year young. I think the root cause for it to come back was my feeding. I went into a crazy feeding frenzy last week. Got to get back on schedule, hehe!
  19. Just got rid of it a few month back. Now I just notice a small amount on the edges of the sandbed and tiny patch on my green birdnest frag plug. I am going to do a 20% H2O change first. I am considering a 3 days straight light out or alternating days. Any suggestion.
  20. Okay, Just got the kit in today. Quickest shipment I ever Rx from Ebay. Cost: ($17 (on sale) - $5 credit = $12). Hooked up and works great. One less thing to worry about.
  21. Very nice device, but I don't want to add another outlet +$$ Lucky you .
  22. Too bad I was not able to capture this on video. I ca\me down to my basement to look at my tank and right away notice that my baby hippo tang was getting itself cleaned by the blood shrimp. That was so cool. I didn't know hippo tang need grooming. I guessed that why they called it's "hippo".
  23. Adam, Oh!, sorry for the loss. I didn't even get a chance to see your set up yet.
