  1. Okay this clutch is LARGE and have already darkened and the eyes are forming even thought they are less than 6 days old. Does anyone want to try to raise them? Justin or Almon, are you interested? I tore down my Qt as we are redoing the Family room. LMK and keep you all posted.
  2. Scott, I'm pm-ing my DH's cell. Could you call him to set up a PU of food? My fish have had lots of pellets to eat lately! Thanks!
  3. BY any chance are you coming to the meeting or would be willing to meet in McClean, VA? My t-5 orbit lights are broken on my 55 and am looking for T-5's to replace them with.
  4. Scott, Can my DH possibly pick some up this weekend? I think he's heading to Bowie and should be coming home around 6 on Sat. Or he might be able to Sunday. LMK & TIA.
  5. Perhaps you all need another 'nem? Very cool to see this come to fruition! Wow!
  6. My red velvet wrasse has been a great addition to my tank. Mostly red up front light orange middle and deep purple fins. Very sweet and not aggressive but big enough that my clowns leave it alone. HTH.
  7. "f you soak 'em overnight in lime juice, the bristles drop off. lightly bread them with flour and throw 'em in the deep fryer for 30 seconds and they tast great. I had this 'delicacy' in Costa Rica, but haven't had the cojones to actually make the recipe at home. " If you need some large ones to try, LMK I have 3 5-7" ones in my QT right now!
  8. Wow! So what can be done? I'm not someone w/ a Phd. behind their name but if I were to want one of these in the future, I'd like to have that option.
  9. Both places sell it. Another thought would be to see if the veneer for counters matchies what you need as is will have the L shape. And yes it is only 30 seconds to adjust a fact i forgot yesterday when I did the ends of my countertops! BUT a little matching silicone will hide the minor 1 mm slip.
  10. +1 for ORA +2 on not worrying if they are eating! +3 on not having starving mandarins dying in transport or in tanks!
  11. Jan, What is Chemi Pure elite? what is the difference? I've only used Purigen. Do you like it better ? If so, why?
  12. HI! Do you have an update/status for those of us inline? Thanks!
  13. Very nice! I hope it does well.
  14. HI! I can give you some mushrooms to try to see if they'll grow. I'm always good for chaeto as well. Send a p.m. when you're ready. May your recovery be not to slow and enjoy your time with family!
  15. HI! I would like the urchin, star, hermit crabs, snails, goby and chromis. Forrest, can we go together?
  16. Bill, It looks very nice! If your ever up this way and need different kinds of algae or a ball of chaeto please shot a p.m. and your welcome to some. I have 8 different kinds- not including the chaeto.
  17. Check with Eve as she is in the process of emptying her 300 gallon set up over the next 2 weeks or so.
  18. HI! Do you want me to come Sat. or Sunday evening to pick up the chromis? Do you still have the firefish? I'll p.m. my # as I am teaching tomorrow and then have a special needs conference I will be at all day Sat. LMK and Thanks!
  19. Are you selling your madfloat? If so how much? LMK! I need another one. 1 for 3 tanks is not enough! BTW, is that a yellow and purple wrasse on the right in you DT shot?
  20. Yes, please! But can I be second in line in case the deal falls through for the firefish and cardinals? Thanks!
  21. Can I buy the chromis? Firefish? and be second for the Banggai Cardinals?
  22. Great thought on the newsletter. It could be version 2 in portions.
  23. WOW! What a wonderful BOD. Thanks all.
  24. COOL! Way to go Paul! I think there would be many members willing to test this for you... I'm glad you are trying to figure this one out. Keep us posted!
  25. HI! Would you be willing say again how you keep your black worms and in what? I bought some today and did stick a small piece of paper towel into the bag and they are now in the refrig. I really hope my teen daughter does NOT see them! If she does see them, it's likely she won't eat for a week! Hmmm... a new way to save on my grocery budget? In the long term I'd rather they be in the tank. My pump system goes across the top of my tank so flow would be fine. My clowns didn't care for the worms but the 1 large PJ cardinal really did and soon another was eating them too. In my 20L the tomato clown and turbo damsels really enjoyed their snack of worms. Thanks for talking about it!
