  1. Thanks everyone for the interest. Everything is taken. Mike
  2. Im moving out of the country next week for work, so need to find a good home for my livestock. I would be happy to donate all the livestock to a good cause or propose the following prices. The tank has been set up for about 2 years and doesnt have apparent pests. I am leaving at the end of this week, so would strongly prefer to have someone come by and pick things up today. Otherwise, it would have to be in the evenings this week. I live very close to the Clarendon metro. I also have a full (un set-up) Solana tank and stand that hasnt been used in 2 years that i would sell for 100$. The current livestock would fit reasonably well in this tank to make a complete set-up. Otherwise, my equipment is not for sale. Live rock (most have some sort of soft or hard coral attached, and a few pieces are covered with green star polyps): 2$/pound Rock with dozens of zoas and palys and a duncan: 40$ rock with birdsnest coral and 3 ricordias: 30$ red/green bubble tip anemone: 25$ fish (Melanurus wrasse, flame angel, occelaris clownfish): free Not very good photos attached.
  3. ***UPDATE*** Everything gone. Thanks everyone for your interest and helping me to find good homes for the livestock.

  7. I'm moving out of the country this weekend and need to sell all of my livestock. I've been keeping a healthy (no pests, only a bit of bubble algae) 34g reef system for the last year. Lately, i have been traveling too much and havent had time to properly take of the system, so i have too much algae (my wife loves overfeeding the fish). I need to get rid of all of the livestock to good homes by Saturday, so would consider any reasonable offer (and would give some away for free). I am not planning on selling the hardware, but would consider selling the whole system for a good price (1000$ for hardware or 1200$ for everything). Here's what i have (and apologize for the bad pictures): ***I've added prices. All are negotiable, within reason. I need all the livestock to go by Saturday*** NOTE: This original post cannot be edited. Updates will be posted below as available. 9. Hey Riley, Glad to see you made it here!! I really wouldnt worry about it. You saw our place- its pretty old and there are people living beneath us. Anyways, when i asked our rental agency they told me it wasnt a problem (and at the time i was asking about a 90 gallon plus 30 gallon sump). I would try to align it perpendicular to the joists next to a load bearing wall if possible. Also, you might want to check up on renters insurance- not so much for it falling through the floor, but also in case it springs a leak. For us, it was really cheap and was worth the peace of mind. mike
  10. My wife and i are planning on stopping by. Thanks, mike
  11. Unfortunately, i was wrongly sent a red flame scallop yesterday along with some other stuff in an online order. After receiving it, i did some research and came to the conclusion that I dont have the knowledge or equipment to keep it healthy. Is anyone interested or know someplace close by DC that would make a nice home? Email me at uvaduthie@hotmail.com mike
