This is the harder side to shoot, as I’m up against a wall. Still quite a few lps and softies in here despite being SPS dominant. Notice the return nozzle is covered in GSP, same with the back wall. I love it, but not on my rock thank you very much!

That tank is still one of my favorites on WAMAS.

I appreciate the kind words, I'm hoping to continue it (at this stage it's really not a lot of work).

I'm going to move the colonies over into the new tank mid summer, and then let the encrusting pieces grow back into colonies again while I let softies and LPS dominate it. At least that's the plan.

I'm having that same thought. My 20 gallon is doing pretty well lately and is pretty low maintenance. Thinking of just keeping it up and using it for some type of theme or softy tank.

Isaac, I see you're selling off this tank on r2r. Where is your new build?

You do?! I’m not currently breaking it down! It’s running in my office, and doing quite well!

The new setup is still getting a stand built, but is running in my basement via several stock Rubbermaid’s, a 100 and a 150. I’ll post updates tonight!

Should start a new build thread. ?

just realized, you’re a Marylander now ?

What?! Maintain two builds?! I can barely do one!

Ah, I see, some folks bumped an old FS thread when I was toying with breaking it down before moving. I kept just about all of it and seen exponential growth. Happy nobody was enticed at the time!

cool! I didn't pay attention. Thought it was recent.

Look Ma', no frag rack!

The tank looks stunning. I didn’t think I would ever say this but I love the bare bottom look

Thanks, Dip! I know barebottom is a point of contention for a bunch of us. It took a long time to get to this point, and it makes my life a lot easier when it comes to cleaning. I plan on a few angelfish in the new build, so it's going to be SPS only, and I'll have to ride the glass bottom look through the ugly phase once again!

Beautiful

Thanks!

Alright. It's time to start getting serious about my fish list for the new tank. I currently have a Goldflake Angelfish pair, you can see them here:

I have another rubbermaid with a Powder Brown Tang and a maroon clownfish (the biggest one you've probably ever seen.)

I have an Imperator which I will release in at the same time with the rest of the fish (fully grown). What other fish do you think I should get? I don't plan on having a sandbed, and I don't anticipate putting a top/lid on the tank so keep that in mind!

That's awesome. Looks like you're looking into the ocean almost!

Ha, almost. Missing sand, and a few more corals maybe. I have been feeding pretty crazy. I'm going through a large pack of LRS in about 3 weeks, but all the fish are voracious eaters and fat and healthy, so worth it. The rock has also been cycled for 3 months as of next week, about half of it is 10+ years old, and came with hair algae. The fish have completely fixed that issue, but I do have some unsightly cyano algae. I'm sure this is a combo of flow and high nutrients.

I'm planning on running some GFO most likely before I move everything into the tank.

I still have to frame out the room, finish the floors, run my electric, and get the stand built, then downstairs. Then I have aquascaping, plumbing, light hanging, and wire management to take care of. I also have to figure out exactly how I'm going to responsibly tie my water mixing station into everything as well.

Some nice fish you got there. Thanks for sharing.

Sometimes I feel like I'm talking to myself in here!

I admittedly spend a lot of time just sitting in a camping chair watching them all, can't wait till the tank is setup for them!

Just saw the video, the fish look awesome. Your gold flakes aren't afraid, and have grown from when I saw them.

Hahahahaha. It's a ray of light in this dark dark world! Those people are absolutely insane, and I love it.

Ugh. I know, just got back to work, completely unmotivated after finishing the workdays to start these projects. I just need to get off my butt and do it.
