Your tank is too small for any kind of Acanthurus tang. They like to do long laps in a tank and anything smaller than 6 foot tank is not good for them. For that size tank look at Ctenochaetus or Zebrasoma (which you already have). As far as Heniochus Diphreutus goes, that is just a hard fish to keep and I only suggest them for experts.

I would not put a Clown tang or Heniochus Diphreutus in that size tank. Also with the yellow tang and a pair of spotbreast angelfish with all the other fish will be pushing it in my opinion.

beautiful tank and corals. I second whoever said post covid tank tour :).

Just make sure you have an automatic feeder to feed couple times a day else they will pick on one another. I have 6 of them and they are absolute joy to watch. 3 yelllow tangs would be nice if introduced all at once. I also love damselfish. After seeing some in John Coppolinos tank I had get some. Despite the bad reputation if you get the ones from genus chrysiptera, the are not aggressive and absolutely stunning. I have few Starckis and they steal the show. love the other fish in your list.

Yes, red dragon is finiky. It will grow really nicely for a while and then all of a sudden you will either see STN or RTN. one thing I have noticed is that it doesn’t like a Alk spike. Even a small spike will trigger rtn. Now on the flip side, if you do a course correction by a water change or dosing, it does bounce back. Or if you frag the tips and start over with frags, most of the times the frags will survive.

Thanks Issac! Glad to be back here.

Thanks! Yes, it’s 10’ long. Thank you!

The tank looks stunning. I didn’t think I would ever say this but I love the bare bottom look

I’ll play. I haven’t been here for a while due to busy life but the social distancing has given me some extra time. So here is a video of my peninsula tank.

This is great news. I am glad to hear that everything except couple of acros is doing well. Love the latest pics

I saw the FS thread for the anemone and I think that was the right decision. I have seen your previous tanks fill up in no time so based on that I know in next couple month this tank will look full with growing corals.

Thanks! Roni - you don't need an invitation, you know where I live. Just message me when you are in the area and if I am home then you are more than welcome to stop by to gawk .

Thanks!

Wow! you once again have done a great job with this nano peninsula. I have to say that you are brave to put a carpet anemone in there. I would not be able to sleep at night if I had that in my nano. Anyways reading through all the posts made me miss my nana...maybe I need to set up one too.

Hey Issac, I am still around but just a little busy with different things going on in life which has kept me away from WAMAS. The tank is still doing great as far as I am concerned and here are some of pics I took in January and also FTS i just took with my phone.

Thanks for the id. Yeah, getting him out was easy once I knew under which rock structure he was living. Just put a mason jar in with shrimp in it and he jumped into it immediately after lights went out.

I caught this crab in my tank last night. I haven't added any kind of crabs to my tank since I set it up about 2 and half years ago so I am assuming he has been living in there since then. My snails would disappear right after i would add them and then I would find the empty shells under one of my rock structure. Finally one day i saw this huge crab and realized he was the culprit. Based on my research I think this is a stone crab. I would like this to be confirmed. He is about 3-4 inches big right now. Also can I leave him in my sump without worrying about it nipping at the cords of my equipment in there? Thanks

Thanks! I will post some more pics this week if possible

Thanks Roni. The dendro colony is still there but I have what looks like a stone crab and he keeps moving the dendro colony around. Looking forward to seeing the latest pics.

Thanks Tony. What is the update on your tank?

I am currently using the Ecotech AB+ program at 100% intensity and 4 T5 bulbs (2 Coral plus, 2 Blue Plus) for 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the evening when I get home.
