  1. Maybe a posibility?
  2. Pretty cool... looks more like a 120 than a 75
  3. Congrats & thanks for the report Bob.
  4. Bob, You probably already know this but you'll probably have to use the semi-rigid tubing with the JG valve like whats used for an ice-maker rather than your airline tubing. Also available at Home Depot. Is it just me or does the thought of pinching Bob leave a distasteful image in your mind?
  5. Naga (Pimped out Aquariums) does great work and has made sumps and aquariums for several WAMAS members.
  6. Not familiar with the Tunze nanostream 6025 but I just bought 2 Hydor Koralia 4s and trested them out; nice wide stream. In that tank it will hit a glass surface and further diburse.
  7. Inpirational
  8. Cool fish varionman - read mixed reults with LPS & softies once it's an adult. Easy decision though... $$$
  9. Thanks Jamal - I'm aware of the problems with angels in reefs but I read alot of the dwarfs doing well. Thanks Craig - I'm thinking similar
  10. Still planning what will go in my new sytem once the floor is finished. Right now I have the following in my holding tank that will move to the 96gal: 1 small yello tang, 3 green chromis, 1 little goby, 1 cleaner shrimp, & 2 pepperment shrimp. I plan on adding: 3 more green chromis, 2 firefish, another cleaner shrimp, 1 royal gramma or blackcap basslet, 1 tbd blenny, & maybe some kind of wrasse. I'd like to add 1 or 2 other larger fish and I'm thinking about the following: 1 dwarf angelfish(Bicolor, Coral Beauty, Flame, Flameback, Rusty), 1 more tangs(Powder Blue, Powder Brown, Kole, Convict), 1 or more anthias, 1 black & white Heniochus. What recommendations would you make among my choices or others not listed for the 1 or 2 other larger fish? Thanks
  11. Johnny... quick... tell my wife!
  12. Anyone in or near Manassas that would like to see one of Jeff's creations can see mine. It was a custom job.
  13. How about domething different; a skunk cleaner or fire shrimp. Active, colorful, fun to watch... Kids really like to see them in my tank.
  14. Looking good Bruce. Are those curved PVC overflows noisy? I'll be curious how this works-out; thanks.
  15. Very nice. I did the same thing with the pvc years ago and my next setup will be done that way too.
  16. No expert here but that never stopped me Isn't it true that an anemone that is white is a problem, lost or loosing it's zooanthella? Could it be that his anemone is actually improving but experiencing shock at first? Thoughts?
  17. You could alternate media like Carbon, Phosban, Chemipure... as needed. Can you route the output of the powered one to the input of the unpowered one? It would slow-down the flow but make a large media chamber. Maybe just put LR rubble in the remaining chamber to unclutter the main diplay a little. Just my $.02
  18. If you feel like having a few peppermint shrimp in your tank you could try that 1st. Folk seem to have mixed reults but peps have eliminated aptasia for me in a few different tanks.
  19. We have explored more and know more about the suface of the moon than the ocean's depths.
  20. Welcome & nice tank. You might want to tell us about your equipment a-well.
  21. Welcome octopus. You'll find folks here friendly and helpful almost all of the time.
  22. Great to hear Johnny! I remember when you started in the "closet" in the back of the nursery/Koi shop
  23. I had a tank years ago that was under-skimmed and the coral that did best was zenia and my tube worms were multiplying. I've knows folks with really nice tanks with healthy and georgeous corals that were heavily skimmed. Everything thrived, epecially the SPS but they couldn't keep zenia alive. Draw your own conclusions.
  24. Good to hear Jeff
  25. I'm not willing to say I'm right either Maybe Naga's tanks have stronger bottoms. I know that some manufacturers of acrylic tanks warn against using stands without full bottom support and will void the warranty if you do. I once went to buy a used acrylic 125 that was ruined by placing it on a metal frame stand for years. Not trying to be a grim reaper it's just my experience and what I've read. Naga can say for sure; he built mine.
