  1. My Melanarus Wrasse, Cleaner Wrass and Yellow Coris Wrasse all eat the Nori. I'm using the Julian Sprung purple stuff, but even when I get the green Sushi Nori from the grocery store they attack it.
  2. Bath water worked like a charm! Thanks all.
  3. It's 1-1/4" ID tubing so it's pretty big. I'm wondering if running the hottest water out of the faucet into the tub and letting it sit in there for a while would work? I only want to take the bend out of tubing from the roll it was in.
  4. I've heard of folks putting their spa-flex PVC in the dryer to shape it like they want. Can I do that with vinyl tubing? I have a 1-1/4 piece that has a slight bend and I want to get it straight so it doesn't put pressure on the pump or the fitting. Thoughts? Talk amongst yourselves.
  5. Well crap! That's a bummer. Was there a warranty on the fish?
  6. Even with that mean ****** in the tank? Gotta love it!!
  7. Anyone at all. Don't be shy.
  8. Lowes changed manufacturers on me and the new ones don't fit the old ones. I'm looking for the one made by American Valve. Thanks.
  9. Tried it.......they don't work well on ladders.
  10. Ok........#1, don't forget it Jenn.........you'll start breaking down soon. #2, I have three teenage girls.........fish tanks are "gross". #3, Yeah.......how many freakin times do I need to be reminded of that!!! #4 - I use one now. Problem is, I can't get up on a step ladder to reach to the bottom of the tank.
  11. Unfortunately my old a$$ed body is starting to implode. I have to get my hand reconstructed in a week, followed by my left shoulder, followed by neck surgery. Having an acrylic tank through all of this is going to be a ******. So, what is the best magnet scraper to get? I've seen some out there that come with inserts designed to clean and buff out little scratches at the same time.........I just don't want to get the one that should be on the infomercial and will do more damage to my tank. Note: I WILL be on pain pills when I have to clean my tank!!
  12. You women can get away with ANYTHING!!
  13. Do you have more than one CB shrimp? I had a pair in a 29g sump and watched one rip the limbs off the other.
  14. Oh my goodness........my head (no pun intended) almost exploded when I read that.
  15. I would go to Lowes - they have a much better selection of tubing and fittings. Glad it's working well for you.
  16. Yeah, good memories. You're going to like the tank. You can do a nice ampitheatre rockskape with that.
  17. YepYeYepYyYep - you won't have enough flow for the Herbie to do you any good. I think you'll like the glassholes overflow.
  18. For a tank that size, I would go with a Glass Holes Nano overflow. They don't take up much real estate and are very quiet.
  19. How's the Bean working BTW?
  20. I'll take a frag of the third and fifth picture down!
  21. You could always go for a rabbitfish..........you could get a small foxface or scribbled rabbitfish. They will swim back and forth all day long.
  22. Mine only goes to about the mid point of the tank. That way the corals have room to grow out and the fish still have plenty of room to do sprints back and forth. I also like the more open look rather than just a huge wall of rock.
