  1. That's the wierd thing. I don't have any cyano or anything to go with it.
  2. Got tons of flow........more than I probably should have for some of my stuff to thrive so I'm not concerned about that.
  3. Sorry: http://wamas.org/forums/topic/6245-my-new-215-oceanic/ Also, Dave Lin plumbed his tank with an OM 8 way
  4. Are the wrasses close to the same size?
  5. You could do something like this and just split the outputs on the OM 4 way and make it an 8 way.
  6. Nope. The tank has been up and running for months and the sand went in before the water. What causes it and what do oI have to look out for?
  7. Ok, so everything looks to be thriving in my tank. The SPS have their polyps out and are showing nice color, and the LPS and softies are plump as can be. What I've noticed is that I have a ton of bubbles coming out of the sand be and forming on the rocks. I've seen a number of other tanks that don't seem to do this. Just wondering if this is normal or do I have something going on?
  8. Marco Rocks puts out a solution that you can use to make structures. I've tried everything listed above, including the force, and the Marco Rocks stuff is the best. However, it does need to dry for 24 hours, but it's textured and holds great.
  9. I would also check with John out at BRK. He usually has really good prices.
  10. C'mon slacker......more pics!!
  11. Jan - I put a whole house sediment filter on where my water comes into the house. It's very inexpensive and pretty easy to do. It also lengthens the life of all your water using appliances (at least the parts that sediment would affect). I then put a carbon filter under the kitchen sink on the cold water only. This takes care of the chlorine smell and taste. The whole house filter requires some minor plumbing skills but the under the sink filter is pretty easy to add.
  12. Got water in it yet?
  13. BRK usually has the caulk gun sized tubes. The only aquarium safe stuff that I've been able to find at Lowes is the squeeze tubes.
  14. Hahahahaha.......oh my darn! I caught this after a couple of cocktails. Nothing like a good "roshambo" between tangs!! Thanks for the laugh Integral!!
  15. Cool. For future reference, BRK usually has everything.......sediment filter, 5 micron, 1 micron, DI resin and RO membranes.
  16. How long has that tank been set up? Clams require very mature and stable tanks. Those rocks look brand new.......any chance they could be leaching something that is irritating the clam?
  17. Thanks Ron........it was a PITA, but definately worth it!!
  18. Thanks Laura - It certainly looks a lot better than the pic shows. I'm getting close to having it done........but I keep procrastinating!!
  19. Thanks man. I just can't seem to find the time to get it all done.
  20. I know.......it looks so small compared to the whole wall. Once I build the bar and put it in front it won't look so huge.
  21. I guess it is long overdue. I just got the cabinet doors mounted and the trim around the tank. I still need to put the crown trim over the cabinet doors and scrub the tile down a little bit. These pictures suck because all I have is my phone. Jake.......where are you when I need you???
  22. So, my Cerith snails decided to just lay a BOATLOAD of eggs all over my tank. I've noticed the fish snacking on some but I'd like to try to protect as many as I can. Will they hatch if I scrape them and put them in the sump.....say in a pile of live rock rubble? Or what can I do to make sure they don't get eaten?
  23. That's the fastest growing Purple Monster I've ever seen. Hope it keeps up for you!!
  24. First off, welcome! Listen to the folks above, they have a lot of experience in this. For my 2 cents, you mentioned that you change your T5 bulbs frequently........how often is frequently? Other than the possible copper contamination, frequent changes in the lights can stress the corals. Also, I would recommend the $20 fee to become a full member. You will get access to ALL the forums that way......including the For Sale/Trade/Free section. In addition to the good advice you'll receive on this forum you will also find outstanding deals on livestock and equipment, to include free stuff. The members here are great and will help you get your tank right and eventually restocked with corals and things.
