  1. Already in a dark area but am wondering if its ok to super glue to LR and let it hang under a ledge, kina like a bat in a cave
  2. I purchased a Red Chili coral from Aquarium One (Nephthyigorgia crassa, N. pinatta) a week ago and its doing fine so far. Did some reseaech and it's non-photosynthetic, likes to be on the bottom, and medium to high flow. Someone on another board said (back in 2010) that he hung his upside down under a ledge and it did fine. Anyone have experience with these corals? Here's a pic from the net but looks like mine except mine is laying flat on the sand bed. Do you think I can superglue this monster to the LR?
  3. I killed mined by feeding it aiptasia-x might sound crazy but after a coiple shots of it, it died. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
  4. i had 7 socks that i changed out every 3 days. i washed them in the washing machine twice when i was on my last one. it wasn't a pain at all. i used them to reduce the bubbles from the drain but since a friend built me a bubble trap, i don't use the socks anymore
  5. Hey there FishyPapa - nice rack! Question - why do folks use frag racks? I don't have one and just place my frags on the LR and let them grow. I'm curious because i'm wondering if I should get one.
  6. Nice pics Warren. I'm still tinkering with starting up a Zeo system. I bought a sample kit of 4 small bottles and dosed the tank with it. Haven't seen much of a difference though. The sample pack was called KORALLEN-ZUCHT NANO POWER PACKAGE. Used it on my 90 gallon. Doesn't make sense to use such a small amount on a 90 gallon huh? I thought that after I bought it. lol
  7. Hey Alan - I still have pods in my sump. Granted the filter sock got a good chunk of them but yet, I still have lots. That was a good buy and will buy from them again.
  8. Hey Warren - how's the tank coming along? I'm reading up on Zeo products and am thinking about converting. Do you notice a difference with using Zeo products? Can you post some recent pics? I'm thinking about upgrading my tank and want to start right off using Zeo. Thanks
  9. Wow, in an earlier post I was like, wth are you posting jizz for but after watching the vids, i'm still saying gross but now it's pretty cool.
  10. darn. Autocorrect. The. XeniA was thriving.
  11. Update. I have now lost a pulsing Xenia and a large frag of Kenya tree. The. Snow was thriving and the base was really thick (got as a frag) like 3-4". I pulled the Xenia and one of these flatworms was within the base probably feasting. I didn't see any on the Kenya but the stalk was turning black. I removed 2 clarkii clowns to my qt berore they start bullying all my other fish a week before so the sand did get a little stirred. My parameters are all inline.
  12. I would weight to the mobile service. I've been to your place once and although you have nice corals and very good prices, I probably won't buy from you unless I can pick them up somewhere local (I'm in Annandale) or at a WAMAS meeting. Frederick is still out of my travel zone especially since I have a few LFS that are great to buy from too. Good luck!
  13. Definitely limited edition ORA
  14. I have a few of them too. They have been on the glass eating algae and the LR too. Have not touched my corals in a bad way. Found one within some palys but nothing happened as that paly is still doing well. My flatworms look exactly like yours.
  15. Ditto - no issues with ERC here either. He has great products and I plan to continue purchasing from him in the future. I went to the FF earlier this year, my first WAMAS event I attended, and his display was the first to catch my eye. I ended up buying stuff from him that day and it is thriving. Not sure what happened with the Rics though. Whether it be user error or something was wrong with the Rics, he is backing up his products which represents pretty dang good customer service. Thanks!
  16. The 5 that I bought from the GB are all gone. They did well the first 2 weeks in moderate flow, moderate light. They were expanding and growing under the LED fixture but when I saw them going downhill, I moved them to a moderate flow, low light area and they just crashed. So they are all gone. :( This is the 2nd time i've tried to keep Rics. I guess it's just not meant to be.
  17. My tank usually stays at 79. I have a small heater in the sump and I have air on all day. It might go up to 80 but that's because we would keep the doors open in the house to let some sun in. All my fish seem fine and no issues.
  18. My skimmer overflowed today too after feeding a small chunk of Roggers food. I fed the complete blend plus (green kind). I wonder if leaving it out to melt then refreezing it is the issue. I accidently left mine out a few days ago and it completely melted. I also have the complete blend (orange kind) and will try it tomorrow to see if the skimmer overflows. Fish love it though
  19. Can't tell what it looks like on my phone but could it be pineapple sponges?
  20. Thx all. Not able to update pics as I lost my SD card for my DSLR camera. Updates to come soon though.
  21. I didn't mention this but #3 has 2 different corals in it. I'll try to get a better pic of the coral on the left tonight.
  22. I think I got them at a LFS but not from FF. I didn't track the names of these corals in the beginning but am starting to track now that I'm learning more every day.
