  1. Wow thanks J! I had added new T5 lights. And also my calcium dropped below 300 oops! Lesson learned. So I think I stressed the SPS a little or gave them 2nd degree burns with the new lights. I turned them down after I noticed the loose skin and slowly dosed up the calcium to normal. I still see some of the larger blisters but from what I read online if will slowly get better as long as the problem is fixed.
  2. My SPS blistered up about 4 weeks ago. It's going away thank goodness. Anyone have this happen? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  4. I'll start it off
  5. Wow amazing stuff there! You should make website clickable in your signature info
  6. Wow cool! How much ha charge? Hehe
  7. They are attracted to the light so I get a lot since my lights are on late. No problems. I have caught my cleaner skunk shrimp eating them. I'm sure the hermits and clean up crew finish them off also. No crew in my sump to eat them but water quality is good.
  8. I heard tap water is great for emergencies.just put the fresh water chlorine remover in it? Anyone confirm? Just watch rapid temp and PH swing with large water change. I would do a 10g change every 30 min or so
  9. Dust/stuff is not a big deal. I would do nothing. The only stuff that can be a big deal is chemicals and copper. Use RODI in clean spraybottle to clean glass not windex as overspray gets in tank. We have all had magnets rust in water and have had steel items in water with no problems. I try to rinse hands/arms when I can before entering tank but sometimes I don't. It helps some to keep hands out but not a huge deal.
  10. Tagging along if you don't mind! Sick looking chalice and tank!! What is that deep blue SPS on the right SPS island?
  11. Great article.Green hair algae is from phosphates. I fixed it with more aggressive skimming and GFO. It's best to dose alk in a slow doser
  12. I ran into that a couple days ago. Looks neat. I'll make one later
  13. We are always putting food in tank (dosing phosphates) Fish are always pooping and crop dusting. GFO pumps are slow which should give the phosphates some time to get where needed. There should always be some phosphates present which is why every tank I have seen in the hobby has some sort of algae growing. Pure speculation here also.
  14. I have trouble understand how our tanks are cleaner than the ocean. I see this a lot on forums and need more info on how this is possible since we have a lot more fish per gallon than the ocean.

  16. Looking for this chalice name. I nearly lost it but now it's putting on some sick (healthy) coloring.
  17. Yea I bet it's just some tiny amount of leftover organics decomposing since it hasn't been cycled. Any ammonia is not good for the fish so try to at least get some sort of cycle done
  18. I bought velcro. Cleaned surface and stuck it on.
  19. Another i would check is the water coming out of your RO. If they are using chloramine to treat the water where you live you could be getting a low amount of Ammonia in your final RO filtered water. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Is your similar frag holding color?

  22. It explains how to do it on the BRS website. It's a pain but they throw a few dollars at you to run one. Just post up on the wamas group buys Forum and people will start giving you first name and BRS log in email.
  23. Kitty cats love to pee in tanks. Check for that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Will the tiger pods overpopulate and make them easy to catch like this photo? If so I'll start them. I dumped them in fishless 30g fuge and they slowly disappear Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. lol! Love the look. Plus this way you can see more angles of the tank. Does the kitty watch the fish?
