  1. I think that's where the turbos come into play. I would guess they can't eat the larger bubble algae so that needs manual removal. But the turbos come eating the day lights out of the spores, small up and coming bubble algae. You can see each bubble popping in my video link I posted as the Dej sailfin eats it. I can't find any bubble algae in my display but sump and overflows is packed full of the healthiest, most tightly packed bubble algae colonys you ever seen. I think it's great nutrient export thousands of spores pop as I take it out with my hands. I don't doubt it spreads spores popping them but it's better to get rid of it than sit around and worry about it.
  2. It's Ora joe the coral from live aquaria. The nice thing is I easily knew the cause of this one and very easy to fix. So yes all I did was a quicker drip acclimation into my warm tank.
  3. +1 lutz!!! also siphon out what you can with water changes. The cyano is soaking up the nutrients you need the nutrients out
  4. http://wamas.org/forums/topic/72843-bubble-algae-eater/ This wouldn't do any good but I'll post it to stay on topic. Mine put on some crazzzzy colors then turned pink. Can't get the good colors back any ideas guys PM me

  6. STN or RTN? I now like to leave the frag alone. It's under enough stress as is. This was the first time I saved an RTN frag. It came 7 hours late in the mail due to a snow storm. Water was ice cold.
  7. Yea I'm tempted to extend the wires to a larger battery. Only concern is it would be exposed and not nearly as safe
  8. I'm tired of giving ecotech all my money. Drill the rivets out Bubski. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Rubbermade is hooking me up with a new one free since its brand new. All it took was an email I'm happy. I still may try an aquarium bulkhead because these did feel encredibly cheap. Look at how I tore up the outside with a pipe wrench it was falling apart with little pressure. I'll take some pictures of the cheapness once I drain this and get it apart. Thanks for the Teflon tape advice
  10. They do look nice and price is right but it appears they don't have a good spread on the LEDs. So if they were going on my tank I would want at least 3 of them to reduce shadowing. The shadowing is actually one thing I don't like about the ecotechs. Here are the fixtures I like. I ordered mine from this site. http://www.addictiveaquaculture.com/led-lighting-reef-grow/422-arctic-t247-led-aquarium-light.html?search_query=Oceanrevive&results=7 previous SPS TOM cliffpuckstable used them exclusively so that gave me confidence in the fixture.

  12. Anyone else have this problem with glue hardening at the end of the tube clogging it? Am i the only one that's drilling it every time? #dedicateddrillbit #hadenough #needhelp
  13. thanks guys. I have some bulk heads laying around. I'll see if they fit. If not back to TSC

  15. I have a new Rubbermaid sump leaking from the plumbing. The middle bolt has Teflon tape on it and is tight so I think the outside part is leaking. Tried tightening it but I'm tearing it up. Seems cheap. Do they make replacement parts for this?
  16. I think they work decent iPhone 6+ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. That slimer looks like the devil horn hand signal I give at rock concerts
  18. Just a little observation about the schooling of Anthias. I dropped my lyretails in and they schooled like crazy I loved it. But after a couple weeks in my tank they got comfortable and stopped schooling and still don't school. Anyone else seen this? The lyretails are hardy plus active swimmers. People compare them to goldfish of the sea which is a bummer though
  19. Didn't happen! +1
  20. Is there a nem in the 29? My maroon had 125g but rarely ventured out from the nem so I wouldn't think it would care as long as it has a nem to love on
  21. Love this innovation! Always glad to see less taken from the ocean and more tank raised nems
  22. Gosh I love coral celebrities
  23. Cute
  24. Engin is one of my best buds. does professional family/wedding pictures for a living. He has every camera lense imaginable and Is a member on here with a sweet reef tank. Just left my house so in a couple weeks I'll have updated pictures! No tank build thread will happen as this is a temporary setup. I have 2 reef brite. They are nice but some controllability would also be nice to tweak the look I want. Here is a little teaser Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. I invite you to try that in my tank! Doesn't even come close to sticking on slimy aged rockwork. The putty sometimes works for a little bit if it's a glue sand which but I have an upgrade coming no point in it. Plus the urchins get in the frag racks, on the bottom of tank, you name it. Thanks for that info tired of spending $5 a tube at BRS.
