  1. Looking good! Love the videos.
  2. https://www.liveaquaria.com/article/157/?aid=157 Not a bad place to start. Some will say don't drip b/c once air hits the water it will quickly go foul.
  3. Pictures? Still running the dual bowfronts?
  4. I have never done that, but both UPS and FedEx allow packages to be held for pickup. Usually ready by 8:30am. If there were an issue with the flight it would be an issue whether you picked up or the carrier. Having it held avoids sitting in truck all day, and potentially not getting delivered.
  5. Fun stuff! Thanks for sharing.
  6. Hm, this is interesting. I have FIOS as well, so perhaps some battery backups for the router. To get a text notification if FIOS remains on I am sure I could get a smart outlet or something. I do have the Phillips Hue bulbs and hub. I will look to see if there is something that could do for me. Thanks for the insight Tom.
  7. So it's basically a cell phone that texts me, and the $49 annual fee is like a service plan? I like that.
  8. I just got a failed circuit alarm to buzz if my power goes out. It's good for middle of the night awareness. However, I want something that will email/text when power goes out. However, if power is out my wifi would presumably not work either, so how can I accomplish this? Here is the failed circuit alarm I got: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0077Q9NC6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 This is not for a tank, but I know many of you have the same challenges. My concern is my SUMP PUMP! Living in Ellicott City is rough these days.
  9. When you go in for voluntary procedures like knee replacements you get your own room with the good TV and the extra hot nurses... haha
  10. My father in law timed his retirement with his double knee replacement, and is now back out walking 18 holes of golf. I know he had those needles a few times, and said they last less and less the more you get them. If this is your third go goodluck getting a month of relief! Both knees?
  11. Sweet tank and fish! Maybe a blue throat trigger? They have yellow tails... I bet feeding time is fun with that tank!
  12. Holy cow! This makes me want a tank so bad. Are you still running the AI Hydra 52's you started the tank with? Mind giving some details on light schedule and intensity?
  13. Hello blue eyed baby.
  14. I had an ocean revive I liked. They are sold on Amazon.
  15. I like the house talk. I just recently moved into a home built in 1958. We bought it from the original owner, which was really neat. Very well maintained, but needing lots of updates. Had to replace all the two prong outlets, etc. However, the bonuses being it has plaster walls, solid construction, brick all around, etc. Can't wait to get it where I want it over time. http://www.wamas.org/forums/uploads/gallery/album_1736/gallery_2632417_1736_1881.jpg trying to link it http://wamas.org/forums/gallery/image/20716-house/ Let me help you with that....
  16. Can you get a first floor condo, or is it too late for that? Most the condo communities around here have homeowner associations which would never go for such modifications as an elevator. I am curious the style of this condo community. Sounds fancy shmansy.
  17. If you are not 100% set on that size, and willing to change dimensions slightly to be able to get a standard tank Deep Blue makes a 24x24x30 tank. Should be much more affordable than custom, and quicker timeframe.
  18. I need to get another tank. That will be my news years resolution. Thanks for helping feed the addiction Isaac!
  19. This thread was a bad omen for me. I found a leak in the union connection under my kitchen sink P trap that goes from the garbage disposal. Spent a while staring at fittings until a nice gentleman (not employee) helped find the right parts.
  20. Could you use a slip to thread PVC bushing to go from pipe to loc line? Like this: https://www.amazon.com/Lasco-438-210-1-50-Spigot-Reducer/dp/B004UHBMV0/ref=sr_1_18?s=industrial&ie=UTF8&qid=1510259672&sr=1-18&keywords=pvc+bushing
  21. Amazon carries a lot of this stuff.
  22. The tank is too small for a normal anemone. You could do some carpet nems though probably. But to answer your question, I honestly don't know if it's powerful enough. I will say 12 LED's is a lot. I once had 24 LED kit from rapid and had an anemone in a 29gal tank. If I had to make up my own rule of thumb for LED lighting it would be 1 LED per gallon.
  23. Rapidled makes a nice Par38 bulb you could put on a gooseneck: https://www.rapidled.com/12-led-par38-bulb-mixed-color/ Instead of filter floss buy this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AHIOM8A/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  24. Maybe they could make an acrylic tinted tank out of the material? THAT would be awesome. I wore some at MACNA when it was in DC and they are really neat.
