  1. I don't even have a tank! Maybe by 2019 MACNA that will change.
  2. The thing is the train is slower than driving. If I want to take my time I will just drive for a couple hundred in gas round trip. I was just hoping to get there cheap and quick. I guess when looking for three flights instead of just myself cheap is out of the question.
  3. ALAN! See this link for a "slick deal." https://slickdeals.net/f/12841786-amtrak-offers-buy-one-get-one-free-valentine-s-day-sale-book-by-feb-18-2019?sdxt01=2019-02-15+13%3A59%3A23&sdxt06=Adobe+Auto+DA+Curated&sdxt07=526633&utm_source=dealalerts&utm_medium=em-i&utm_term=18&utm_content=13660895&utm_campaign=da_newreg_curated_v2&src=da_newreg_curated_42839791 NEVERMIND, it ended yesterday and travel needed to be done by July.
  4. Perfect setup for your first tank. 40gal breeder with 20gal long sump is really great dimensions to work with. Also, large enough to get some cool fish yet small enough not to be a nightmare to maintain.
  5. Yea, I can't justify flying the three (soon to be four) of us down for $1,300 for just the weekend. And I WON"T drive with a baby and toddler. Oh well. I was just down there last August, and have been to Disney about 14 times now I think. The #1 spot to eat for me this last time was Artist Point with Le Cellier a very close second. Alan, you taking the entire family down?
  6. I just thought why not hit Disney for the weekend and enjoy MACNA 2019. Hotel rates are really good, and I enjoy the Swan very much as a hotel. It's not to bad of a walk to Epcot and you can ride the ferry to Hollywood Studios. Then I went to check flights. For three adults it was going to be $1,300 roundtrip on southwest (or 76,000 points). And this was selecting the least expensive fares. Anyone have cheaper flights they are seeing posted?
  7. Give them my address. I'll make sure you get it...
  8. I like the tunze ato a lot. I appreciate being able to dial down the stock pump for the desired flow. On a small tank, this is a good feature. It does require opening the unit, but it let's you do it. If you really want a different pump you could get a 50ml BRS pump and this OSMOLATOR SWITCHED SOCKET OUTLET hhttps://www.bulkreefsupply.com/tunze-osmolator-switched-socket-outlet.html I would just buy a new $25 replacement pump. They sell them on Amazon, and you'll get it quick with free shipping.
  9. https://www.liveaquaria.com/article/157/?aid=157 Not a bad place to start. Some will say don't drip b/c once air hits the water it will quickly go foul.
  10. I have never done that, but both UPS and FedEx allow packages to be held for pickup. Usually ready by 8:30am. If there were an issue with the flight it would be an issue whether you picked up or the carrier. Having it held avoids sitting in truck all day, and potentially not getting delivered.
  11. Hm, this is interesting. I have FIOS as well, so perhaps some battery backups for the router. To get a text notification if FIOS remains on I am sure I could get a smart outlet or something. I do have the Phillips Hue bulbs and hub. I will look to see if there is something that could do for me. Thanks for the insight Tom.
  12. So it's basically a cell phone that texts me, and the $49 annual fee is like a service plan? I like that.
  13. I just got a failed circuit alarm to buzz if my power goes out. It's good for middle of the night awareness. However, I want something that will email/text when power goes out. However, if power is out my wifi would presumably not work either, so how can I accomplish this? Here is the failed circuit alarm I got: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0077Q9NC6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 This is not for a tank, but I know many of you have the same challenges. My concern is my SUMP PUMP! Living in Ellicott City is rough these days.
  14. When you go in for voluntary procedures like knee replacements you get your own room with the good TV and the extra hot nurses... haha
  15. My father in law timed his retirement with his double knee replacement, and is now back out walking 18 holes of golf. I know he had those needles a few times, and said they last less and less the more you get them. If this is your third go goodluck getting a month of relief! Both knees?
  16. Sweet tank and fish! Maybe a blue throat trigger? They have yellow tails... I bet feeding time is fun with that tank!
  17. Holy cow! This makes me want a tank so bad. Are you still running the AI Hydra 52's you started the tank with? Mind giving some details on light schedule and intensity?
  18. I had an ocean revive I liked. They are sold on Amazon.
  19. I like the house talk. I just recently moved into a home built in 1958. We bought it from the original owner, which was really neat. Very well maintained, but needing lots of updates. Had to replace all the two prong outlets, etc. However, the bonuses being it has plaster walls, solid construction, brick all around, etc. Can't wait to get it where I want it over time. http://www.wamas.org/forums/uploads/gallery/album_1736/gallery_2632417_1736_1881.jpg trying to link it http://wamas.org/forums/gallery/image/20716-house/ Let me help you with that....
