  1. Ok, so I just recently bought a house that has plaster walls, with my tank being open top I have noticed more moisture build up. I have a couple of windows cracked and a ceiling fan running to help move the air around. I do not have central AC and have baseboard heat. I notice the moisture build up more so in the evening's and can see moisture on the windows in the morning. I moved my dehumi upstairs and It doesnt seem to help. Any other suggestions?
  2. You separated your pairs out too much on the jack. Sorry old telecom habits. ACIII is nice. You can mod the software pages on it for a different look and rename it when you access online.
  3. LED's are expensive, If you can DIY you can do it cheaper. LED's with optics will compare to MH or T5HO. They are new to the reef game. Everyone said T5's wouldn't compare to MH and they are wrong. There is a big thread on nano-reef about LED's. If you have questions, PM evilc66 on nano-reef, He's the LED guru.
  4. I like the price and the K+ and stronium numbers compared to other salts. Guess will see, Im using D-D H20 right now.
  5. Has anyone seen the NeoMarine salt out in any of the local stores yet?
  6. what corals are in the tank? any frogspawn or torches?
  7. dtfleming From my 40br tank Canon Powershot SD750 Flamehawk fish.
  8. the other with zoas, def with fragging them. They tend to get diseases rather quick after fragging them. Everytime I frag zoas, I always dip them to prevent disease and infection. That could be some of the issue with your zoas.
  9. Have you or have tried dipping the zoas? Lugols's dip or coral revive. They seem to do the trick with zoas. Honestly, I had zoas melt from all the different places I have gotten them from.
  10. cool, i thought it was today and couldn't make it. I will try to be there tomorrow.
  11. I prune mine every so often. I just pulled three softball size full out today.
  12. nope, look at seahorse.org for info. Depends on the type of seahorse as to tanks requirements.
  13. I have the mp40w on my 40br. I have it on the side of my tank opposite of my return from the sump. I have it in reef crest mode because: 1. It tends to kick up more crap in this mode 2. I like the alt. flow in this mode. I played with the other modes and have a wave going also. Night mode is a nice feature and I would suggest looking into getting the battery backup in the future. Your also gonna need to be atleast 3-4" down from the top of the water line in your tank.
  14. You take a risk with any livestock that you buy. Why would you consider a gigas clam for your tank anyway.
  15. I see your a fair weather caps fan.
  16. evita gobies stay small, green banded, and masked goby all stay in the 1-2" range.
  17. Tks. about 1-1/2 to 2" they stay pretty small.
  18. always the chromis hehe, threadfin cardinals, anthias. black stripe cardinals.
  19. verrrrrrrr;yyyyyyyyyyyy nice, guess you got rid of the clowns and rbta. Some schooling fish would look cool in there.
  20. I have one, mine skims well. the water height is the issue with these skimmers. make sure the water is at the little water line on the skimmer. You'll have to adjust the blue screw to start getting skimmate in the riser tube on the cup. Leave it alone then and see if it starts to skim.
  21. And there's the prob. People calling tanks over 20g nano's. FTW!!!!!!!!!!! 40br. 100g tank bleh.......
  22. Tks Tks, thats the plan to get it to grow to cover the back. I added two more zoas, my tubbs blue and a purple hornet look alike, neither one liked the lighting in my 40br.
