  1. due to the weather the past couple of weeks, we decided not to risk the health of the livestock or put them through turmoil with the sub-zero temperatures during shipment. This week, we gotta catch up. Take a look at what we got in... its been a long long week of acclimation. Also we've made quite a few updates to the website to make it easier to browse via any mobile device as well as seeing stock levels and such. Rather than clicking around to see what we have in stock or not, just click this link and it will pull up the entire database of fish that we have on the site. The default sorting will be based on highest inventory level to lowest. if you notice, the green chromis, which we have 30 of in stock is at the top of the list, followed by occellaris tank bred clowns, etc. To determine if we have x amount in stock, simply click on the item, say green chromis and it will display the quantity so that you know if we have enough or not in stock This inventory is based on real time and synched with our store system as well, so if someone purchases 3 green chromis from either the website or the store, the number will change from 30 to 27 instantly once that order is processed and payment confirmed. If you're not sure if you can make it out to our store but want to make sure you get that item/fish, simply purchase them on the website and on the order note, just notate when you will be by to pick up the order. We'll tag and set the items to ensure that they are not sold. Basically, this is just like purchasing online for in-store pickup. If an item is sold out, no worries, just add it to your waiting list and we'll contact you got coordinate rsvp'ing the next shipment for you. Ok, to start things off, let's see how well this does. For this weekend, we are going to have a 20% off all in stock fish and inverts on the website. During the checkout process, simply enter in this coupon code: wamas20off Coupon code will auto expire on Sunday at midnight so stay home, stay warm, do some online shopping and come pick up your livestock at an awesome savings when the weather gets better next week. 2. alan... we've got 3 in stock if you need some
  3. No no no... Not a dishwashing sponge. One of those bath sponges from walmart or other department stores
  4. Lots of folks are taking advantage of this sale... got 1 left in stock.. time for a re-order on Monday...
  5. unless you want really basic controller functionality and have no plans to expand, go for the apex full. in simplest terms: a module is any additional inferface that allows you to plug things into (PM1, PM2, PM3, EB8, EB4, etc) the Jr only allows for 5 additonal modules, and your display is already counting against that... so that leaves you with 4. It will allow you to monitor temp on 1 tank. if you want to monitor temp on two other tanks, then you will need 2 more pm1 modules along with 2 temp probes. Apex jr comes with an EB4, which means that you'll use 3 of the 4 outlets to plug your heater to. That leaves you with one extra plug. Most likely, you'll have a lot more equipment to plug in, so you'll need to get an EB8 (a module). If you want to add automatic feeder (module) or the leak detector (module) or conductivity/salinity (PM3 Module), etc, etc so, if you get the jr, you will be very limited. If you had one tank and just wanted simple basic monitoring and control for a few equipment, then it will be fine, but for multiple systems, it won't work well At the end of the day, it's where you think you will be or have the potential to be which will justify the additional cost in the full apex system. at the shop, we have 1 apex system controlling 12 tanks... each with a pm1 module so that we can monitor temp, ph... we can continue to add and add without fear of being limited hope that helps

  9. not sure where you're located, but if you are close to us, we have most if not all of the items in stock as well as on display so that you can see what they are and how they function. and no, you cannot use the apex to dial the 1260 since it is not a DC pump.
  10. - return pump:DC-4000 or DC-6000. You can always ramp up the power if needed. If you go with the DC-6000, you could also create a manifold so that you can use it to feed media reactors or some folks use this to generate more flow in the refugium section. They are very quiet. Eheim universal pumps are also good and reliable as well. You'll need to a gate valve to control the flow though - heater (2 150w?). good - RO/DI unit.. AWI, BRS, Aquamaxx, all good units. You'll want a 75 or 100gph system. better to go with a five stage - refractometer. Definitely got one. Hydrometers are junk - test kits. Salifert & Red Sea . if you're colorblind like me, than Hanna Checkers work well - addtl powerhead? what do you currently have now? Jebao or MP10's would be nice for your system - tanks to hold fresh and salt water. Get a 16 or 20 gallon x-trall tank. With their slim/tall shape, they make for great ATO water resevoirs - sand/salt/rocks... lots of choices here with the reservoir, assuming you're getting an ATO since i didn't see that on your list. Stay away from the ones with the float valve... they are a nightmare waiting to happen (personal experience). Avast Marine, AutoAqua, Innovative Marine and Tunzes are all really good ATOs on the market now. Avast is a WAMAS sponsor as well and local.
  11. looking good... so i guess the epoxy you got last night worked well
