NO, they are born either male or female. best way is to put three together to figure out who is male and female. You can try the vent method. look at their bellies, You will see either one or two upside down triangles.

People stagger the actinic and daylight to simulate sunrise/sunset. Have the actinic come on first for an hour then daylight and actinic on. then have daylight go off an hour before the actinic turnoff.

Looks good Brett, Couple of questions about the fuge. I assume you are having a pump feed it and just letting it flow back out into the sump? Are you planning on adding any sand to it. I just got some more different macro algaes in, so I can give you some to add to the fuge. What light are you lighting this with? Looks neat and something I may want to add to my sump, so I can have a display fuge with pipefish.

A sting from the frogspawn will usually show a black mark or spot on the clownfish. That looks like a parasite or infection.
