  2. Yup, had one in a 2.5gal and I currently have one in my daughter's tank 5.5 gal.
  3. whats your SG? + depending on the salt your using, There is nothing in the tank to eat up the Ca.
  4. of the corals im sure,
  5. the goby loved the mucus. Some clown goby's will do this and some wont. Kinda like dwarf angels.
  6. guess it depends on your definition of bad. I know daniel and myself have been trying to get some.
  7. skimming, controlled feeding, weekly water changes, macro algae, gfo and carbon will all help your tank. Will Amquel+ help, who knows. Ofcourse their website is going tell you all those things, they are trying to sell a product. Why do you feel this one product is going solve all your problems? Also red sea test kits are faulty, I wouldnt trust them.
  8. they have very nice stuff and their a sponsor on nanoreef. No one got a monster bubble gum chalice frag huh.
  9. figi isnt ATI, pro color is ATI brand. figi is made by Korallan zolt (sp)
  10. nice setup nate. Whats the three tank tower to the right? Breeders?
  11. Sorry, dont know. I would contact Curt from Neptune via the sponsor forum on RC.
  12. I guess you could use the rowalab feature, thats what is in my sig. for link directly to the status bin file on the ACIII.
  13. You need to allow port forwarding on your router. your Ip address is what is used to see the ACIII and the stats. I can see and control my ACIII for any computer and my cell phone with this. I just have to punch in my ip address and user name and password setup on my ACIII. I found alot of info on this on RC and kengaro on there has alot of info on these things. oh and I dont know about the server files, but you can edit the config files and pages on the ACIII. Like change the name of it on the webpage, add a webcam and controls, change the background colors.
  14. nice, it all depends. my one little guy is really starting to show his black. The other one I had died :tears:
  15. nice, i had a onyx pair but one died and i still have one left paired up with a true perc.
  16. Wow, I forgot to update this. The merger happened in late November and everything went well. I've been adding to the tank and letting it grow. It doing really well and I'm getting ready to setup my cheap dosing pumps. the merger from the 26gal
  17. It has been down since the end of Nov. I merged stuff from this tank and my 26gal into a 40br. It was a neat little tank, but I needed to upgrade the 26 and get rid of some tanks at the same time. Right now I have the 40br, AP24 and a 5.5gal in my daughters room.
  18. I put it up against the side of the sump. the nylon helps trap the media inside the reactor and allows it to tumble, thats why I use an adjustable flow pump. I havent tried it on its side, but you can make it smaller to fit your needs. The biggest thing is to make sure BOTH LIDS are SNUG or you'll be fishing GFO outta your tank.
  19. First this reactor is based on the Simplicity Media Reactor and Maeda's DIY one that he built. This is just my version of it. You can use different parts as it fits your needs, I chose to use 3" due to the size and space I had in my sump. You could always use smaller sizes. The total cost to me was $10 in parts, I already had the pump. PARTS 1-3" PVC cleanout with screw cap 1-3" PVC end cap 1- Nylon mesh 4x12" 1- adjustable flow pump of your choice ( I used a MJ 404) Media of your choice-phosban, carbon, etc. TOOLS 1- Power Drill 1- 1/4" drill bit 1-1/2" drill bit scissors STEP 1 Assemble your parts. STEP 2 Take the 3" PVC end cap and drill some holes in it. As many as you want. I used the 1/4" drill bit here Next take the nylon mesh and cut it into a circle so that it will fit over the 3" cleanout with some extra overlapping. Now place the 3" end cap over the 3" cleanout on the slip side with the nylon mesh over the slip side. Make sure that you have enough nylon mesh covering it and snug the cap down. STEP 3 Next drill a hole in the 3" screw cap, line it up to make sure the outlet nozzle from the pump will fit. I used the 1/2" drill bit here. Insert the nozzle of the pump to make sure that you have a snug fit Cut the rest of the nylon mesh to make sure it fits over the end cap and that you have enough extra to be able to screw the cap on. And now you have a complete reactor ready to add your media. Make sure the media is in between the two nylon mesh covers to trap the media. Adjust the flow to have the media tumble like any other reactor. Also make sure to rinse the media before running the reactor in your tank/sump. If you noticed that I did not glue or teflon either of the caps. This is so that you can add and remove the media and replace the nylon as needed. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!
