  1. Check out Jason's old thread. http://www.wamas.org/forums/index.php?show...amp;hl=pictures
  2. Pix of the birdnest and its surrounding area.
  3. Won't be able to shot your theory down since the condition is correctly stated, depending on the bioload on this nanocube. Here is an alternative I've been contemplating today. Take out 25% of the rock that you would like to reduce. Use a hammer to crush them into small rubble rocks. Put as much rubble rocks back into one of the back chambers; preferrably, the 2nd chamber since the 1st has a sponge to filter out the left over food. Third chamber can be used with carbon + phosphate remover. Beautiful setup for a 12G nano tank btw. Something I would model after. Very clean.
  4. You're right Chip. It's an acronym for Light Emitting Diode; however, those are used for moon light. They don't put out lots of light, not the same bright white LEDs that are used in the Solaris fixture. And that's all they were intended to be used as moonlight.
  5. Have about 10 blue led on a 3x400w lighting fixture for three years. They are on when the MH and actinic bulbs are off, which is about 14 hours a day. Never have green algae issue from them. You might be overfeeding. Feeding in a smaller (less) portion and more (larger volume) water change. These leds do not put out lots of light as its name said (low emitting diode).
  6. That's a crazy group buy. I don't know how you pulled it off but great work, Mark!
  7. There are several types/patterns of blasto. These Blastomussa merletti love cyclopeeze.

  9. "spinkle some kalk on it, I hear the stuffs magic." Hahah. Chip is funny but there is a lot of truth in the above statement.
  10. Haven't even setup mine yet until power circuits add in the future plan. Anyway, you can <CTRL + PrtSc> to capture your current graph and paste it onto a word document if there is no option for you to save your data Bob. That way, you can always manual re-edit as data log instead of data loss. HTH, KLee
  11. Anybody wants to get rid of these little starfishes, please save 3 - 5 for me. I can put them in Sterling elementary school, 12 Gallon nano, for the little children to "ooohhhh, aahhhhhhh......". Adding a little fun to their daily school life. Cheers, KLee
  12. Another good idea in contrast of Rik's excellent idea. It's a gesture and a fun creative one. Not something to be expected to have everytime.
  13. Yup, I need that idea to help me fix the same issue as forrest, also.
  14. It's true, patent is a game of words.
  15. magnetic1 is correct. Does not mean a thing. All its mean is you have filed an application with the USPTO and your date of application for your novel idea started. Patent pending means that you have filed an application with the USPTO and that's all its mean.

  17. Saw this simple calculator, place link here; hopefully, you can find it useful. http://www.2partcalculator.com/
  18. Welcome Kerrnel! Cheers!
  19. Your tank size.
  20. It depends on how much bioload you're going to put in this 150G tank.
  21. Hello, Where are you located at? Thanks. KLee We'll take it. Sending PM.
  22. a picture worth a thousand words, bob. It will help lots of us to have a better guess. Not from me, I am not an Acan guy. Follow this thread to learn more on it.
  23. Sorry, your idea looks very much like the vortex, koralia, Tunze and if not rejection by 35 U.S.C 102, it will be rejected in a combination of patents/application of 35 U.S.C 103. Got to have an improvement from an old invention/multiple inventions and the device/apparatus has to be novel and "enable". Meaning the idea has to be able to work in real life. An examiner might and can ask you to demonstrate to him/her proof of your idea. Cheers.
  24. Very nice rock work, Dave.
