  1. Take a pix of your sump. Need to see the arrangement.
  2. Yes, we both were behind someone else. It's alright, Sonny said there are going to be more Aussie Acan coming beginning of the month. Aussie Acans are shipped monthly.
  3. Fyi - I purchased this large frag/colony and payment accepted; however, something is wrong with his website that is still showing it as available. I talked to Sonny and he was surprised, told me he'll look into when he gets home (about an hour away right now). Not sure how many pple ahead of me for possibly same problem if they didn't call in Sonny. He sounded surprise when I notified. KLee/Lee
  4. That means Rik got the Anan home sweet home with him. Chris is late!
  5. I am here in Southern Cali. and dropped by Tong's place yesterday. Lots of SPS, LPS, nice Ricordeas, a beautiful Watermelon Chalice just like the one Bob (Lanham) bidded on from Bendalat. I was rushing out for this trip and forgot to bring my digital camera with me to take pixes. Three large 150 + gallon display tanks with 1 is for display, not for sale. The other two have all kinds of large Acan colonies, neon green leather fingers, Red ricordias blue tort. Prices are just as expensive as if we buy from the East coast stores. It's about as big as the Glen Burnie retail store in Maryland (forgot the name). Saltwaterfish is just regular, just have lots of blue hippo tang, yellow tang, sailfin tang, powder blue, nice small (very) red flame angels. And prices are just about same if we go to Roozen. But if you need to pickup anything for a new tank setup, this place probably carries the things you're looking for on your emergency list, w/o waiting or going around diff. stores. I'll try to stop by the two Irvine stores today or tomorrow; hopefully, with time permits.
  6. I hear it is a "she". Just kidding and wish everybody has a relaxing Holiday with friends and families!
  7. Chip, What do you think of using the razor blade of the haircutter uses to shave off short hair.
  8. you can always pick out coral / fish(es) that you like on your last day in California and have them ship next day for you or ship to your friends' house while you're still there. That's what I probably will try while I am out there. KLee
  9. I'll bring my digital camera with me. Can you post the names of the LAX-area wholesalers. Might as well visit them in case I head that way. Thanks for the info. KLee
  10. I'll be in Irvine between July 4th - 9th. I was thinking to stop by fragglereef.com and vividaquariums.com in LA. If you know any other places that worth spending time in the LA busy traffic, please let me know. Thx! KLee
  11. Very nice Powerhead for the price. www.thatpetplace.com has better price than Drsfosterandsmith.com and closer to our state. I usually order ground shipment with thatpetplace, the package will arrive in two days w/o the two days fedex charge. On this powerhead, I have 4 x #4 in my 150G + 1 x #3. They are about 1/2 as strong as the MJ1200 mod kit that I used to have; however, the mod kit draw back is too noisy with the magnetic kit glue on the back where this powerhead has suction rubber magnet to keep it quiet. Also, we can tilt/point the powerhead to virtually almost any directions we want. All 5 powerheads have been work horses, very reliable for 4 months, one of the #4 needs to have its needle clean after 4 months. That's about it. Thumps up for this product.
  12. I purchased a heavy duty 32 gallon trash can (rubber/plastic) from Lowes and put it outside near the water hose in the back of my house. Every week, I plug in my RO/DI and fill it up within 8 hours of running since my basement does not have a sink setup yet and has been doing that for a few years. KLee
  13. Thanks for all the beautiful Zoos, purple monster frags last night. They all are safely acclimated in my tanks. The deep blue zoo and pink are two of my favorites. Everybody who is planning to come to your place on July 4th will be impressed with the monster Deltec skimmer and the red acropora table. Such a nice setup Rik! To All: I had to literally ran out of Rik's place; otherwise, I'd spend all my money on his frags. There were so many choices and Rik gives great prices also. KLee
  14. Can someone take some pixes and post for us to learn Flowerseller's special technique? I've tied up with other previous commitment, wish I can be there. KLee
  15. Rik, I, too have the 20K Radium and like it very much; however, if lifespan is only 6 months then it's way.... expensive. I can't afford to replace to a whole new T5 lighting set and like the blueish color. Would you be able to help recommending another longer lasting bulb with also 20K? Thanks, KLee
  16. I am also a fan on this thread. Jason, you rock! Very nice project!
  17. For the Kalk Reactor, you might want to check out Dandy7200's Kalk. I've purchased one of his and very happy with it. Very easy to setup, use, refill lime and cleanup the waste. HTH! KLee/Lee
  18. Hello Bemmer, I notice the same thing when I started turning on my home AC and fan circulation. Tank is 150G in basement with dual chambers CA reactor and Kalk reactor. I have to crankup the Kalk in the eve and it'll go back down by the morning. Anyone has advised on what I should do to stabilize the PH is very much appreciated. Thanks in advance, KLee
