What happened to the tank that the BTA and SPS all croaked?

Yes. when RBTA died (25 of them) release the toxic.. I don't know why they died just in few days.. I am thinking the lack of feeding (25.. I mean yeah 25..) and temperature change lead to chain reaction..

getting one more LED. GHL Mitras LX 6 light.

I used 2020  Aluminum Extrusion screws/t nuts to hold the frame. It's bit complicated at first but once I get the parts. It was not that bad. Trust me, if i can figure this out anyone can do it.

Hopefully I can get more spot than one light..

After coming back from SFO trip, my tank got bombedwith something to do with water and RBTA exploded i guess. Tried to revive by 50% water change..it didn't help..

Few more water changes still not helping almost all sps gone! About 20to 25 pieces.. more than half are big colonies. I kept the Oregon  for 11 years and bonsai for 13..so sad they are gone..

Luckily, all fish alive few soft and LPS.

It's finally stabilized with big loss aw! But will keep at it!!!

Looks like the remnants of a bacterial bloom - probably consequent to the die-off. Is there any record or evidence of an extended power outage? Was everything mechanically functioning when you returned (pumps running, etc.)? For a small tank with relatively low surface area, maintaining surface flow is critical to keep oxygen levels up. The other thing you've noted is that if you have something like a BTA start moving and wander into a pump, it's remnants can trigger a bacterial bloom which raises oxygen demand that, if not met, can also trigger a die-off. It's a vicious cycle.

From personal experience, I know how disheartening a crash can be; how coming home to the sight and smell just drags you down. I'm glad that you're looking beyond that now. That's a big step. Good for you!
