Had the opportunity to mess around with a colored lens cover today, let me snab some shots in the blues, so it's nice to at least show people how things show when its radioactive in the tank:

and here is one using the filter under my regular daytime lighting:

Of course the zoas are always nice, no edit, just the filter and straight blues (watch your eyes):

Rainbow Lobo at the bottom of the tank, only blues and the filter:

Just a cool perspective, this wont stop branching:

Took the liberty to snab some regular shots while the camera was out and top down was ready:

I don't know what type of zoas these are, but they are some of my favs, they are like a peach/white color, and this is them under whites... as always, un-edited

The acans in the bottom left were a rescue frag. They are healing up nice in my tank, and are showing some nice green spotting on the bottom half, I hope they turn into something awesome.

Hmmmm, those don't look like CAR's.  I wonder if I gave you the wrong thing? Oh well, lets see what they grow up to be.

Yeah, I wasn't so sure about them either, but they are also really tiny still, and they are pretty, so...

Yeah, but I'm like... hey what are those? I want some... oh, wait.....

FYI

Don't worry, they should grow big and strong for me. Then I'll throw them on the back wall and let them blossom!

Great pics! Nice color and depth on the pics. Especially the acro pics. What camera and lens are you using?

Nice pics. Need me some of those zoa's

Thanks man. Which Z's, I'm hooked.

darn dude that looks awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks man, it's all coming together.

Thank you very much! It's taken a lot of practice, however, the Avast Portal has really helped with the top down pictures. I use a Nikon D-90 and the lens for the last photos pictured was an af micro nikkor 60mm. I normally shoot with my 18-55mm lens though.

Rupert looks very healthy, what light do you have on his tank?  Hmmm, any pics?

He is healthy, he just molted! Pics of the whole enclosure? Once I have it scaped and presentable, then I will post up, right now it's bare bones and gross. The light above is just a household bulb that I used to see what I was doing in my sump. It will be replaced with a Kessil 150 this weekend. I just added sand, and it looks a lot better. Just need to get a few more 90 degree elbows I pinched off my skimmer to quiet it down, and I'll do a video as well. Stay tuned, it'll be worth it!

Those corals look awesome and the shrimp is even more awesome. Where can I find a FTS in this thread?

Thank you! You can find a FTS here, back on the 9th of February. There is also a video I shot of half my tank during feeding time, check it out!

Well first I want to say very nice tank, but 4 pages to find a FTS is a little much. Haha just play tank looks great love the scape.

Just means you're not following my adventure fast enough!

So this is Ruperts new house. I still have to paint around on the top board, but the front has a magnetic painted black piece of plywood. It looks good enough for now, I guess. I'm not thrilled about it. Below is a video of him being weird, and also below into my sump, with my not yet rigged up dosers, and random controllers I need mounted on the side.

And still messing with those filters, obviously nothing beats real time, but I think I'm getting it...

Wth is up with your Mantis...he's a little "special", no?

Yeah, he's a weirdo

Um. If I didn't know better I would swear he's waiting for you to rub his belly isaac. Is there something your not sharing?

I was thinking the same thing too....

Not such a recluse like many say...just goes to show ya...everyone has their own personalities...

Very cool! Time for another visit to check the 2 tanks, one room out! Give me another reason...ready to frag any of your acros yet?

After I'm done singing to my corals and trailing my index finger around the rim of the tank while I do it, I find him in a state of hypnosis. I rub his belly for 15 seconds and he snaps back, although still dazed and confused.

Aww poor guys stuck with 8 leg drive

That's an interesting way of putting it. I wonder sometimes if he's just posing like a playboy for the camera.

I think Rupert is dream swimming.

I really think it's some sort of way to keep his legs clean, he's always moving them.

I was thinking the same thing too....

He is far from recluse. As a matter of fact, he has not gone behind the rocks at all, at least that I've seen. Just a weirdo. There is also a coral banded, and a huge gorilla crab from Marco in there. I was hoping Rupert would channel some inner rage and show ugly gorilla crab who's the boss, but it appears that they will probably co-habitate. I am going to stop offering Rupert soft foods and make him start cracking things.

Nice set up Isaac, Rupert is one lucky mantis!

Thanks Loni! I agree, although it's fun to have another tank, so it wasn't selfless.

You're welcome to come and visit, however, I'm letting my garden grow!
