The phosphate is exciting to me, until now the onlt reliable test is really the $100 deltec one, and that is not even digital, now these are all accurate and affordable. john
Origami March 25, 2010 March 25, 2010 1 phosphate and 1 reagents, please. When are you expecting these in, John?
johnnybv March 25, 2010 Author March 25, 2010 1 phosphate and 1 reagents, please. When are you expecting these in, John? I plan to order them on the 31st, so it will depend on Hanna, but I would expect them within a week to 10 days after I place the order.

ctenophore March 26, 2010 March 26, 2010 John do you know if the free or total chlorine unit will measure residual ozone like a DPD kit? see http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2006-04/rhf/index.php for discussion on using DPD kits for ozone. If so I will take one.
ctenophore March 26, 2010 March 26, 2010 Nevermind. I missed the link in your post, it says it's a DPD test. Put me down for the total chlorine one.
ctenophore March 26, 2010 March 26, 2010 Put me down for Phosphate and Iodine plus the regeants. I was searching around for more info on these units, and noticed that Premium Aquatics lists the Iodine one as freshwater only. There's no mention of this on the hanna site or their product literature, but it may be worth looking into.
ctenophore March 26, 2010 March 26, 2010 FYI ----- Justin, You cannot use the Iodine with saltwater. The Chlorine and Phosphate are ok with saltwater. Can you confirm that these cannot be used for saltwater measurements? How about the total chlorine and phosphate checkers? Thank you Justin
Coral Hind March 26, 2010 March 26, 2010 Thanks Justin, nice save there! John, Phosphate only for me then.

ctenophore March 26, 2010 March 26, 2010 Yes, one pack of reagents please. I'm interested in the iodine kit too, but my answer came from Hanna tech support so not too hopeful that a sales rep will overrule that.

Actually she spoke to the head of chemistry and here is the response, she gave out some inaccurate info a few weeks ago. SO in a nutshell YES Iodine does work with saltwater. That unfortunately is due to my error. When we first released the product, a couple of people asked me if the Iodine worked in saltwater, and I looked at the interferences, apparently read them incorrectly, and said it didn
