  1. With those dimensions your only choice might be an HOB. I would look at the Octopus models. Depending on what you want to spend, they even have a cone version.
  2. Unfortunately, Yes Are there corals in your display tank? If not, you can raise the temperature to speed up the parasite's life cycle.
  3. Were all fish added to the quarantine tank at the same time? If so, this might have led to a temporary spike in ammonia. That is a lot of fish for a 10 gallon tank even if it is cycled. Sounds like you are treating the remaining fish correctly. I'm assuming your fish have ick? PBs are ick magnets in my experience.
  4. +1 on Aquarium One. I have purchased several fish from them over the years and have had great success with survival rates. I've read several times that all wild caught fish have some form of parasites when captured. What usually determines survival is the stress levels of the fish after capture. How long has your quarantine tank been up and running? What kind of filtration? etc.
  5. Try this site. http://reef.diesyst.com/chemcalc/chemcalc.html it has a calculator to help determine dosing amounts. Once you have your levels adjusted to the correct levels, you need to determine average daily consumption for your tank. Basically, you stop dosing and measure the change in levels over a couple days. Divide the change by the number of days between tests and that should give you an approximate Consumption rate.
  6. Just wanted to let everyone know. I stopped by Aquarium One this afternoon to check out their new coral display. All I can say is WOW. Very nice set-up with tons of corals. I would highly recommend anyone in the area to check them out. Bye the way, I do not work for Aquarium One.
  7. Here's a review from reef builder. http://reefbuilders.com/2010/04/20/hanna-phosphate-checker-review-notable-compromises-still-worth-the-resolution-and-portability/ According, to their test, the portable unit was close in accuracy to the 200 dollar unit
  8. Thanks, I'll be Saturday to pickup Rich
  9. Put me down for the phosphate + reagent thanks Rich
  10. I have the 150 gallon version. I'm out in Rockville so a bit of a hike. Anway, awesome tank.
  11. Don't use egg crate. I have the top of my aquarium completely covered and still have lost several expensive fairy wrasses. They still seem to be able to squeeze throught the holes. So far I've lost 2 lineatus and 2 labouti.
