Spreadsheet has been updated. I know Ross was planning on completing his order and was just waiting for some information on another product. If someone wants to cross post this deal on CMAS too, that would probably be ok.

Thanks Ron, and fantastic avatar btw

Yes, superlocker is included.

Thanks Ryan! We feel they are pretty useful too

Correct. It is essentially a "no hassle" group buy. All you have to do is order, and once we hit ten they ship. If we don't hit ten all money is refunded. We set this one very low at 10 units so we could guarantee our first one was successful. If we get close to 10 and it doesn't look like it will happen then, a post on our facebook page or reefcentral will put it over the edge in about 30 seconds :-) The first one is for you guys so we don't want to be sharing the info quite yet.... Also, I am not sure if it was clear. Once you sign up on the form, you need to complete the order with your coupon code. If you do not submit the order, your name will be removed from the list. This is the only way we can guarantee the people signing up are actually "committing" to the buy. Lastly, if you change your mind before the buy closes, simply shoot us an email and we will refund your order and remove you from the list. This is our first attempt at this and we are trying to keep it simple as possible and hassle free for every one participating.

We are rolling out a brand new power buy special program and wanted to do it here at home first. Each month we plan to choose one item from our catalog and sell a limited number at a great discount. The items will change each time and # of items will be fixed. This first Power Buy is for Skimmate Lockers. The discount is 20% and there are only 10 available at this price. After completing the form here, you will be given a coupon to proceed with checkout. Each Power Buy will be limited to a fixed number of items. Once the item goal is reached, the buy will be closed and all items will ship. If the goal is not reached, all orders will be reversed and fully refunded. This Power Buy will expire at midnight on Sun Nov. 11. You can track completed orders here, to see how close the Power Buy is to being full. Since this is a new program and we want to test it here, please do not share this on other forums, facebook etc. In the future, sharing will of course be encouraged but, we want our home club to get first chance at this. If you have any questions please post on the current thread in our forum.

Bill, The flanges for the cone are not the same between the GS2 and the CS1. I don't think the GS2 neck/body size could handle the additional air of two psk1000's. We are designing a larger cone skimmer that can handle 2 psk1000 in recirc mode and it will be about 50% larger than the GS2.

Thanks for all the nice words everyone, the new shop is in Maurertown, VA. It included a home move for me, glad to have the chance to raise my kids out in the country :-)

We sure could have used the help we picked up that shelving Justin mentioned. Little did I know what I had gotten us into when I won the auction, Justin was 20' in the air throwing steel beams down to the floor (me ducking) at the PeaPod central warehouse. Re: recirculating skimmer. We designed it so it could be a retrofit, that's part of the reason it has taken a while. Still have a little tweaking of parts to do here and there so it fits up easily as a DIY, but it should be a bolt on type of thing by the time its released (2 months give or take).

120 gallon entire reef setup for sale

Matt, you still have the GHL stuff? -
Just sounds like new tank syndrome to me. Don't you know when you get a large tank you are supposed to put a pretty girl in there and post a picture....... kids these days.

Clean the coils once a year with a no rinse foaming coil cleaner. Usually, even if it looks clean it isn't. You'll extend the life of your chiller quite a bit by doing this plus it will run on less power and save you a few bucks on your electric bill.

you wouldn't stand a chance ;-) http://www.reef2reef.com/forums/avast-marine/53925-swabbie-abuse.html Feel free to post your pics there, it would be kind of fun to have a little contest :-D

Heating PVC to the point of scorching (brown marks in your photos) produces chlorine gas and when it is mixed with moisture (in your lungs) produces hydrochloric acid (which can KILL you)! Added disclaimers in the future would be nice, 1.5" acrylic tube is very cheap considering the alternative. Cool rocks :-)

I would love to see some of the pictures of your glass tanks Jeff. Sean???? Pics man!

+3

I'm considering fresh water planted..... It's not sad at all, what is sad is when you think you have your "dream tank" and then realize you wont get to do another tank build again. Thank goodness we are past that

Max, The switch is very quiet, much more so than a solid state relay. The circuitry is not at all dependent on current draw so the power factor of your top off pump will have no effect on the operation of the unit. Dan

Let's not portrait them as hero's for doing this. They avg. nearly $100 million/ day profits so this is absolutely nothing to them. That money could be tied up for years before the first programs are authorized by the keepers (looks like 8 separate agencies) and by the time they start spending it will disappear rapidly. I do certainly hope this is the first of many payments made, if not, it is far from "encouraging", but may indeed be "historic". What a joke.

Matt, try running your finger on the inside of the kalk reactor to see if it is just powder residue coating the inside of the acrylic chamber.

tech m works for me. I baste, just like your saying. Then a day or two later it pulls off at the roots. More of a long term maintenance thing for me then total irradiation. I buy the stuff a few gallons at a time and just attack it when it starts to bother me, usually twice/yr keeps it under control.
