  1. They are clerestory windows! Although I usually call them eave lights as it is easier to spell They actually don't need headers since they go all the way to the top plate, there are three 5x5 windows on that wall as well that do have headers. We have made a lot of progress, I will try and update with some photos tonight.
  2. 120 sheets of osb primary filtration unit
  3. Yes, we are on septic out here in the country Drain field to right, no heavy equipment.
  4. Staying in Winchester area. Rockville is the home of the newly formed marketing division
  5. arrrgh! Nothin' be gettin' by this savvy crew! Well it will still hold 475,000 gallons but we are planning on filling it with a machine shop and inventory instead of water. The industrial building we have been at for the last 3 years has served it's purpose well but, it is time to move on to bigger and better things. We have been looking and planning a move of some sort for about a year now and it is getting close. We plan to be moved in by halloween. The new place will allow us to continue to grow and add some more mates to the ship and we are REALLY excited. Many of you here know that the shop (and me) is in the Winchester VA area and the shipping and inventory is in the Rockville, MD area (and Justin). The new place will allow us to centralize the operation, which will really help boost productivity and turn inventory faster.
  6. Material for stand and canopy plus temporary filtration unit.
  7. What kind of build thread would this be without plumbing pics?
  8. Here is initial excavation and knee wall. 130 tons of gravel in the hole...
  9. This has been in the works for quite some time so I thought I would share here. Lots and lots of concrete, tons of wood, metal, a whole lot of power, diggin holes, 1000's of feet of wiring. Mix of natural and artificial light. Took about 6 months to get all the permits, but now the project is rolling along. I'll get some pics up soon.....
  10. OK, time for an update. Here is a picture of Justin in Honduras earlier this month with what I can only assume is a non-alcoholic beverage. That is a pretty good update if you can read between the lines
  11. With the added head pressure I would step up the feed pump to a mag 5 or similar. Tank size/ stocking levels and any other info would be helpful to get the full picture though, if you can send that to support@avastmarine.com we will be happy to take a closer look.
  12. Once you glue the other part in, it will fit. Promise
  13. Challenging project huh? We have been working on all of the mentioned hurdles for 4 years, the nut is almost cracked......
  14. Hi Kim, I answered your email about the o-ring. For the gate valve, there is really no reason you would ever have the valve completely closed, it is designed so it can be completely open since there is only so much room in that fitting.
  15. pictures not showing up for me. You can email them to support@avastmarine.com for quicker response time.
  16. If you go with the standard Neptune connection which is a minidin cable you can always cut the header off the cable down the road and use the wires to hook to the break out box. Not so easy to go the other way.
  17. Even outside warranty it is fixable. If it is just corrosion and needs cleaning and resoldering it will just cost you postage. If the sensor has failed we can replace it for much less than a new unit. Was the brs pump ac or dc? If the pump shorted and caused the failure of both units then it may have exceeded the amperage rating of the switch and done damage to it. If you are experiencing any intermittent reliability issues I would highly recommend letting us take a look at it.
  18. Hi Erik, Why don't you submit a contact form through our site so we can issue a RMA to take a look at this. My feeling is that one of the contacts may have corroded and it is simply a matter of opening it up and testing it and possibly resoldering a wire. If not we can just replace the sensor while we have it open. Making the tube to tube adapters is not a very reliable long term solution.
  19. Let us know either way and we will get it straightened out. Email through our contact page is usually the fastest way to get us though
