  2. Paul, WOW! Just read your profile: "SCUBA diver since 1970, Viet Nam Vet, Retired construction electrician in NYC. Lisenced boat Capt. , Aquariums since the fiftees, salt since 1971. My 100 gallon reef was set up in 1972 and is still running. Mostly soft corals. I am currently breeding three pairs of gobies, a pair of Bangai cardinals, bluestripped pipefish and clown gobies. I have one patent for a reef fish feeder and have published articles in three aquarium magazines." Very impressive. Based on your 38 yrs of reefing, you are my nominee for "WAMAS member emeritus." Steve

  10. Hmm.. I had a simialr situation all the outlets in the Den were on the same (too small) circuit. I ran a licensed electrician run a couple of dedicated outlets -- one for the tank and one for the space heater. Steve
  11. I started off with 4 of these. Two of the thermostats and one heater failed. I stopped using them.
  12. I was not happy with my Prizm. There are numerous references to Prizm in this thread: http://www.wamas.org/forums/index.php?show...amp;#entry52409 Steve
  13. sorry for the picture quality but would welcome any input on this....
  14. I should add, I have dual Stealths, each with a dedicated Ranco controller. I have purchased (but not yet installed) an AC III
  15. FWIW, I wanted to avoid glass heaters but could not find a reliable titanium. Iy seems that the Visi-therm Stealth heaters are encased in plastic and are reliable. I replaced my existing heaters with Stealths. see http://www.wamas.org/forums/index.php?show...3&hl=heater Steve
  16. I'm thinking of adding a starfish
  17. - The Marine Scene & AQUACO (as mentioned above, very close to each other) - Natural History Museum in D.C. comment -- In my view, the Marine Scene is the best in the DC area. However, frankly, they may be also be the most expensive and therefore (again, in my view) is not that popular within the WAMAS board where we thrive on group buys for livestock and drygoods.
