  1. A little late to the party, and I work on Saturdays too, but curious about your friends tmaxxs. My Jato is a little limited as to where I can go bashing. Been looking at Revos but geez, I have a mortgage.
  2. Looks like plant dolly is the right term, but I can't find the exact one I purchased.
  3. I've got some really heavy cacti in my house, so I purchased wheeled bases for them. They are in the garden section of Wally World, and the ones I got would definitely handle a full 5g bucket. They were around $5ish if I recall. I'll try to find them online.
  4. Well, you certainly did form you own opinion. I obviously wasn't picking sides, just stating that the thread has derailed. Maybe you can see why I see this thread turning into an attack, when the OP says that $50 isn't a big deal to him. I have no problems with sharing experiences, but to lecture someone about their business practice is not sharing experiences.
  5. My $0.02. It has become apparent that this is no longer a 'Vendor Experience' thread, but a personal vendetta under the guise of helping the common man; "But in the end I realized that the ones who would be hurt by my deleting this are WAMAS members and the organization itself. The whole idea of WAMAS is to HELP the hobbyist." Ok, you've given your experience. No need to beat this dead horse any longer, and teach us how legal, accounting, and computer security firms are based. I read your explanation of why it took 4 months to post this, but these same firms that you speak of would not wait 4 months to take action on something. The wait makes it seem more like a personal issue to me. I don't know much about the inner workings of PP. Hopefully all of that is worked out. I'm not going to even try to determine who is at fault here, I really don't care. I have had good experiences dealing w/ Sonny, and with this website. It just irritates me when I read things like, "I'm curious how finding flaws a system is bad." Now I know why they write CAUTION CONTENTS HOT on coffee cups. This thread started with facts and ended with rhetoric. Let's put a fork in it.
  6. I would add my 2 cents, but roni and treesprite hit the nail on the head. Follow their advice, and you'll do well. Just FYI, the 2.5 gallon is susceptable to the same things a nano reef is - temp flucs, ammonia, nitrite/ates, and very vunerable to the sometimes heavy handed feeding of children. If you would like, I could send you java moss, which would help with natural filtration and looks nice with no work.
  7. Sure, post 3 minutes before I leave work to go home... I only work about 10 min away. Well, best of luck w/ move!
  8. I don't make it out to FSK mall that often, but when I do, the stock always looks the same. As you described, many tanks are usually empty. FW and SW.
  9. I used foam core board. Available at Wally World in the crafts section. Or Michaels. Or the Dollar Store. Also painted it, put on velcro tabs and now have a removable background.
  10. Made one yesterday. Used a spare 9v 500ma adapter. Tested it out on some aiptasia covered LR that I adopted. WOW!! This thing is bada$$. Best part is that I only had to buy rigid airline tubing and an on/off switch. A total of $4.00 made me the aiptasia widowmaker. Thanks for the thread.
  11. I had three different types. Kept them all in 10 gallon tanks w/ simple over the back filters, heater, and a NO fluorescent light. Substrate was CC w/ rubble. Cool critters, but start w/ a low maintenance/hardy one like N. wennerae.
  12. Don't know what kind of overflow you use, but I use this gutter guard http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1290766&cp=2568443.2568451.2626211.2627643.2627653. Cheap, will last a lifetime - for multiple uses, and cuts easily w/ scissors.
  13. I do believe that Andrew Zimmern ate some in Bizzare Foods. If I recall correctly, he said that you could taste the coconut.
  14. I have always been impressed by their extremely clean tanks. I have never had a problem w/ any fish purchased from there - fw or sw. Also, the little Aussie running around is pretty darn cute.
  15. I've got an Arctica 1/5 HP chiller that I'm going to get rid of. But that is a wee bit overkill for a 30g!
  16. I had one in my AP24. Found it locally. I would see it on occasion (about once a week) for three months. Haven't seen it since. An awesome fish to watch swim and display.
  17. I should have had PP autopay, but so far no dice. I have also been ousted from the membership.
  18. I ended up getting a frag also, plus a mummy eye. My credit card was not happy.
  19. Checked my folks' house, they got rid of it sorry.
  20. Hmmmm... Lemme check at my parent's house tomorrow. I'll let you know.
  21. Myself - I wouldn't risk it. If it did have an impact on your septic system, that's not a low dollar fix. Salt also eats concrete.
  22. Thanks! The male kicked out the fry overnight 3/1 to 3/2. B/C they are in the fuge, I have no idea whether or not any are still alive. I'm kind of hoping that one or two will make it on their own. I really wasn't ready for them to breed so soon. Luckily, I've read that one these fish begin to breed, they will continue to do so. Plans are in the works for capturing the next batch.
