    All I know is the XM 15k is A LOT more blue than the Ushio 14k. They seem more dim also because of the blue. If I were to do it again, Id go back to Ushio 14k, but that is a personal preference. If you want, Id be willing to sell ya the XMs so I can buy some replacement Ushios. Two for $50. They are about 4 months old.

    Jon, THANKS! The rubber o-ring for the cap came off with the old membrane and I did not see it.

    Looks like it is seated right, but water is leaking and shooting out from all around the cap?? Did I not seat it correctly? Any ideas?

    You could also try getting a beefier power inverter... 100W is nothing. I have to look at the specs of mine, but I can run a Koriala (sp?) pump, air pump and a MaxiJet. However, the 150W heater will not work.

    Ive broken replacements as well :( sucks. Some dielectric grease would work better than lithium grease though.

    Ive had great success with them as well. I did quite a few GBs in the past and their guarantee worked out well. They used to give us a club discount too, but I dunno if that is still active.

    If one were to shut off return flow back to the main tank and stir up all the detritus and let your skimmer go nuts... how long would that need to run for? Or would be be too long to even consider?

    Ive used a 10G to QT. Your 12 should be fine. Just be sure to check parameters DAILY. You'll be surprised how quick Nitrates will rise!

    Im toying with the idea of hooking a pump to mine to mist water onto my AC condenser outside. Right now I use it to water my trees and grass. My dogs drink it also

    Thanks I use DTs also. Forgot about that Coral Frenzy one day, DTs the next. 3rd day is a break.

    I havent "not used" it so I cant tell how things grow without it. Everything seems happy at the moment <shrug>

    I use it but have nothing else to compare it to. Seems to make all the corals open up begging for food though!

    Harbor Frieght has one in an ad I just got in the mail for $299. Chicago Gasoline Generator; 3500 Watts peak/3000 watts rated. 6.5HP engine, recoil start. 15 hours continuous load run time at 50% load.
