  1. Glue? It is an adhesive like a sticker. Why would you need to remove it? Even if you ever wanted to peel it off, it doesnt leave a residue. Not the vinyl I get at least. Comes in a variety of colors. Your pick, mine was black.
  2. or goto sign shop and get a sheet of vinyl. None of the mess w/ painting.
  3. Or split the lights between days. Have one of the MH in the pair turn on one day and off the next.
  4. Thanks Actually pic is rotated 90 degrees. Been watching the fish/eggs. Pretty neat to see them shoo away other fish and protect the eggs. The male also does this "biting the eggs" thing. I thought he was eating them at first, but there arent any eggs missing after he does this procedure. Ill post more pics when the eggs further develop. Feel sad to see all the babies die :(
  5. Unfortunatley I dont have any rotifers :( So this time around they will become tank food. Unless someone has a quick way of raising rotifers, I could possibly try to snag the fry out! First time in about 6 years (actually I think more like 7-8) Ive seen the pair lay eggs. Ive had the pair since I started the hobby, and theyve both been through several tank crashes. This pair of clownfish were the original fish I used to cycle my 55G tank back in the day!! :O
  6. More importantly, did you win your race?
  7. Ive done this more than once. The first time, the bill through ServPro was almost $1200. That didnt include the drywall repair to the ceiling. I'd at least run to Home Depot and rent a couple of their huge blowers and a dehumidifier. Padding will be trashed and from what Ive read you have 48 hours or so before you can have mold issues.
  8. get a Brute trash can. Nice and thick and you dont have to worry about breaking or leaks.
  9. How long can you zap for? I do it for a while and get scared that Im generating too much chlorine.
  10. Forrest, you moved? Didnt Tropical Lagoon close?
  11. Duh! I KNOW where SS is silly , I was trying to see where HE was in SS. "SS" encompasses a HUGE area from inside the beltway to the north near Olney, to the east near and up US29 and to the west before Rockville. I live near Olney and it is still considered SS...
  12. So I got a large Naso Tang a few weeks ago. He immediately started grazing, but didnt eat Nori or the more hairy variety of algae in my tank. I decided to try to feed him some brine shrimp and he ate that up like crazy. Was a huge, HUGE pig eating more brine shrimp than greens for a few days. Then all of a sudden, he stopped eating. For 3-4 days now, he hasnt eaten. Well tonight, I just saw him "diarrhea" a BUNCH of white stuff and pieces of brine shimp and maybe some larger mysis. So, Im wondering, was he not eating b/c he was "constipated"? Im a little concerned he hasnt eaten in 3-4 days now... but hoping maybe he ate too many brine shrimp and not enough veggies and got sick? Thoughts?
  13. I PM'd you but havent heard back yet... just posting in here to let you know Im interested in the B. Cardinal.
  14. PM sent on Algae Blenny, Cleaner Shrimp and K4. PLus whatever hermits and snails you may want to part with!
  15. Except my order the other day from Diver's Den suffered at the fate of FedEx Overnight. It got delayed somehow in Indianapolis (no weather issues), then when it made it here the next day, it sat "On Vehicle for Delivery" from 11AM until it finally got delivered at 839PM. All dead, everything cold. Stupid FedEx. Seems like UPS/FedEx are all about the same until something stresses their network. UPS keeps on rollin while FedEx grinds to a halt.
  16. boo. Definitely come out to some DEs. Im signed up for the entire NASA-MA season so you'll find me there for sure.
  17. Eiw... I definitely tried not to inhale anything, but it did stink pretty bad. Extra bonus though, the hermit crabs ate all the cooked majanos! The ones I couldnt get to, Im going to use PaulB's device to chlorinate em! M3Fan8tic: I have two Mystic Blue E46 M3s
  18. I read the burner thread which kind of prompted me to do this. The MAPP torch is fun to use on racecar stuff (and lighting fireworks) and decided to have at it on the majanos. Seriously, this one rock was taken over by them. Felt so good to just see them sizzle up. Granted the paulb burner device is effective in the tank, but seeing these things burn, sizzle, snap, crackle and pop was worth it. Plus I didnt really have anything important on that rock except some generic monticaps.
  19. So I got mad that these buggers are taking over my tank. Especially on this one rock, so today I took the rock out, took my MAPP torch out and went to town. Nice seeing those son of a guns sizzle!
  20. You can still get it online at a lot of places... like this: http://www.jdindustrialsupply.com/aq7epst.html
  21. Ill give AWI a call tomorrow. I have some used powerheads, that could be a source. I just put in a nice large bag of carbon now just in case.
  22. Just got my results back from Aquarium Water Testing... Copper tested at 0.10 mg/L Silica tested at 0.8 mg/L They recommend using a silica specific RO membrane? What is this and any recommendations? The copper I dont get though. We dont have copper pipes, and all water goes through RODI with water coming out at 0 TDS. Any clues as to where copper is being introduced into the system???
