yes, for each "change" in the way you want a piece of equipment to operate, you have to create a separate profile for it. Once you have created all the profiles you want, then you can reference them in the statements for the equipment. Look at my attachment. Those are all my profiles for my apex. When creating the profiles, there is a drop down tab that you can change to various options (pump, dose, vortech, etc). You can also create "virtual" outlets, but that is another can of worms

did you create separate profiles for each output? The "outputs" is the actual program that changes the state. The profiles are created to store the configuration. Profiles can't be uploaded. You can copy an existing profile to edit, you will also need to save the profile each time it is modified. You will need a separate profile for each "state" that you want to create. So based on what you posted above, you will need 4 profiles (duskdawn, wave1, duskdawn2, night). Once those profiles are created you can change the output statements for each outlet. Does that make sense?

i love my apex too and I am always trying to find ways to improve it and make my life easier. I currently have it doing: automatic water changes- my ato turns off, one pump pumps water out, another pumps new saltwater back in, ato turns back on. emails - when the power goes out, when the ato is empty, ph is too high/low, temp is too high/low, new saltwater container is low. plays a sound - when the ato is empty Using doorbell switches - used to turn pumps on lots more stuff I am forgetting

you may also want to post your apex program here. Many of us use that controller. There may be advice that we could give you in tweeking the controller to prevent that from happening again. IE have statements in the apex that shut things off if temp reaches x, send you emails if x, etc. For example, during the storms yesterday I lost power. I received an email from my controller telling me it lost power. I was home and knew about it, but if I wasn't home, I would know about it. You can also have it send emails/txts to other people in case you are out of town.

How old is the tank? You said you are using LEDs. Did the birds nest come from a tank with LEDs too? If not, it could be getting too much light. You don't want the coral getting direct current from MJ1200. How big is the tank? It looks to be on the smaller side. I would be careful dosing in smaller tank.

how long did you do pellets? Have you tried vinegar/vodka dosing? What is the phosphates of your RO/DI water? How often and how much are you feeding? what test kit are you using for testing?

can you give us a description of your tank, how long you have tried some of the things you mentioned, are you using RO/DI water, other parameters, etc....

having been stung many times, vinegar does work. Hydrocortisone works for the itching. I am very sensitive to the stings and whenever I get hit, i get some nice rashes.
