  1. I think Richard has helped a few people out with holding and shipping you might want to check with him
  2. There are a lot of complaints about that company. I wouldn't order anything other than pods
  3. Most medicines we use in a hospital tank kill the bacteria so adding something like this is not really recommended. In terms of the marine pure stuff I use it but have come to realize because it is so porous I keep it in a good amount of flow. Other wise it gets clogged up.
  4. I couldn't recommend DSA (Deep Sea Aquatics) tanks more! Such a great company with gorgeously crafted tanks! The Neo serious is awesome!!
  5. Here is a really good wrasse guide :-) http://www.3reef.com/threads/all-about-reef-safe-wrasses.122261/#ath
  6. I have 2 paired with a director and I really like them a lot. They are crazy bright and the director adds good control functionality.
  7. QT dosent necessarily mean you are treating with medication and is a loosely used term. People could use that term when getting a new fish or invert or anything in and just keep them in a holding tank for a period of time to just observe that they are eating or to make sure they are healthy. The term QT is very loosely used.
  8. So I currently use k1 for my clown tanks. Your design ideas are interesting and not sure I can really give advice on their effectiveness. This media is very lite and floats. The biggest thing I discovered was using good flow and not having any dead spots. I have the water coming from the top of my filter tube via maxi 1200 and the water goes through plastic mesh on the bottom to exit. Since the media floats having the water come from the bottom created dead spots where media would group up and not move. Why do you want to add air to it? I love this media
  9. Lots of great advice here and just want to say Quarantine is great practice and really should be a part of all aquarists tool box.
  10. Sweet.. If they do happen to lay eggs nornally they will eat the first few clutches until they get the hang of things.
  11. If the female is going to lay eggs You will see the ovipositor. Looks like a white tube coming out of her belly. Just leave them be happy
  12. <- could totally rock some avast customer service! ;-) jus sayin!
  13. I would put a divers weight or something on top
  14. http://www.orafarm.com/blog/2013/09/27/love-at-first-sight/ Here Ya go.. Blood orange is made from gold stripe Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Exactly. Which makes this a different species. Gold Stripe and White Stripe maroons are not the same. If you were to breed a blood orange and a citron you would have an offspring with the blood of 4 different species. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Rob, I wouldn't doubt it has a mean attitude. My lighthing is pretty docile. Mb - ORA blood orange is not the same it is Oscellaris x GSM This is a first of this breeding Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. It's called the Citron Maroon and was bred by Bali Aquarich. It's a cross of WSM and Percula.. It has a clean elegant look to it and you can clearly tell it's got a distinct different look. Matt Pederson the breeder of the PNG lightning Maroons wrote an awesome article. http://reefbuilders.com/2015/01/06/bali-aquarichs-newest-limited-intergeneric-hybrid-clownfish/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Well if you drilled your current akimmer lid the lid should have grooves that properly fit the skimmer cup so you don't need the nylon screws. Those are for the universal kits
  19. Did you retrofit to your current skimmer lid or buy the pre made kit?
  20. Good to know! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I think what I read was the sand becoming hard like a brick or something to that nature rather quickly
  22. Have you used this sand before and liked it? I've seen a lot of negative reviews on it
