hmm.. I can see skunk clowns protecting whatever they host from other clowns.. but I’ve seen people keep a few skunks together in a host nem. maroons are the devil. Lol
-
Bro! The P1 looks great!!! Your progress is awesome! Way to go! They babies look killer!!!!
-
Very unlikely they will pair.
-
Typically clownfish eat their eggs the first few times they spawn. So if it does happen let nature take its course for a bit.

when I had my turbo aquatics ATS it was amazing.. harvest every week of thickkkkk hair algae. never had an algae problem in the tank! also at one point I had to start regulating the amount of light because it was taking too many nutrients.. ive never used a chaeto reactor, but loved my scrubber..
-
It really is not that hard, but requires prep work and gathering of certain supplies. If you are on Facebook join "Clownfish breeding USA" to get a good understanding. It can become time consuming as well.

Hoping To Get Back Into Salt...
Mattiejay6 replied to TrueTricia's topic in Welcome to WAMAS: FAQ / FYI / Hobby News
Tricia!! Welcome Back!!! How you liking Doha! I stayed there a few times at the air base heading in and out of Afghan... God it was sooo HOTTTT! I just decided to get back in as well and have started ordering my equipment etc for me build!! -
the nice thing about Ecotech is their coral lab results and the fact they have proven spectrum settings you can use.. love it!
-
I have been researching the crap out of the ecotech lights since I never used them before. I follow alot of the BRS episodes and have seen WWC uses the radions for their tanks. I am sold on them now and going to be getting the xr15's for my new build, to more evenly spread the lights out.

I liked my Deep Blue 90 when I had it. I am about to order a waterbox aquarium.. I really like the look and design plus the cost.
-
So glad to hear!!!! that is awesome!!!

It isn’t a shopping/shipping holiday. However it is a holiday that creates travelers. Also they weren’t operating on 4th of July as well so you lost the buffer delivery day. Where it would delivered if there was a delay. When I was shipping my clowns everywhere I never shipped the week of a standard holiday or If a shopping holiday the week before, week of, or week after. Never lost a fish in shipment!
-
They shouldn’t have shipped this close to the holiday! It is almost a guarantee the shipment will be delayed... Very irresponsible. Especially in this heat wave! They will be stuffed in the back of a tractor trailer at the hub most likely. IF and that’s a big IF they do survive you are going to float the bag make sure you have sea chem prime on hand or some thing similar to neutralize the ammonia for when you bring that water temp up. Check out some transship acclimation videos. I’ve always been a big proponent of a long drip.. that’s me though.

lol do you have an anemone in the middle of it?
-
there ya go! he just started back up on his own again! so perfect timing!
-
Mine was specific for gigantea carpet anemones. What are you needing it for?
-
There are some breeders doing it. Chad Vossen was pretty big into breeding them. https://www.facebook.com/VossenAquatics/

I live in Fredericksburg and my local vet doesn’t deal with fish, but I printed out the research and and went in and presented to them and received the medication.

Hey all! It's been a while since I have been on here, but I just have no time for the hobby anymore. So down to the meats and bones of this post. This listing is all equipment. I have a bunch of stuff laying around everywhere and will give freebies to purchasers of big items. (UV Systems, Heaters, Nets, Plastic Fish Viewing containers, acrylic tanks, acrylic separation boxes, coral viewer, misc plumbing, chemicals, medication, new box of salt, air pumps, food etc etc...) the freebies will probably make up for the price of the item you buy. I live in Stafford County FYI but might be willing to meet if I can make it work with my schedule etc. 1. My breeding set up $450 DSA Tank 48x12x16 DSA Stand 20g long sump w/ Aquabox filter insert Led light Deep Water BDLC 7 return pump 2. Aqua Box Sump $500 48x20x15 ! You won't find one like this very often! This is like the Cadillac of sumps with probe holder and all! ** first to buy the Sump or breeding system I have I'll give you a free glass Aquabox frag tank.. I don't recall the measurements but it's around 48x18x12 give or take on width and height. 3. Turbo Aquatics Algae Turf Scrubber $275 This is an awesome unit and an absolute work horse! Definitely a steal compared to what I paid for it new. 4. Acrylic Fish Holding Tanks $400 This came from House of Tropics? In Maryland. They sold it last year and I never had a chance to set it up. They still use a couple of them at their stores. If you want to breed this is a great system to raise your young and slowly group them out. 5. (6) Ten Gallon tanks with middle dividers $60 These are all drilled in each section for a 3/4" bulk head. I was working on a new breeding system to expand, but never finished. The acrylic cost me $15 ea so you are saving a good amount of money! These are all brand new! 6. 60 gal vertical tank. $125 You can have the stand too if you want. Trash can on rollers fits perfectly under it. 7. Super Reef Octopus 3000 $200 This guy is an absolute work horse! Just needs to be cleaned in some and it will be like brand new! 8. Two external pumps $125 I never ran them, but I did test them out and they work perfectly. I cleaned them and repainted when I first got them from someone else. 9. Air Water Ice Typhoon Extreme III $175 Stock photo from the website. However the units filter are only a month old. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
