We don't use A/C very often and i dont have a chiller. My tank has got up to 87 for short periods of time then cools off over night. Nothing seems to care but my fungi shrivels even birdsnest didn't care. Ill be using more AC next year have too much to risk now but wanted to let y'all know not to stress too much if it gets too hot for short periods of time.

I add sw mix to sump or ATO my fish don't seem to care as long as its not a super quick rise.

I quit mine for a couple weeks as an experiment and the tiny spot of GHA expanded to other rocks lol I got it back up and running quick. Keep her goin good

I agree its nice to research. And some breeds are more aggressive by nature than others. But can't each individual fish vary? My yella tailed damsel is the most timid fish in the tank. He's afraid of his own shadow. I reAd all over that they were less aggressive than the blue damsel but still very aggressive. This was the 2nd to last fish I added but she has a rock and has established territory on it. Also in a 125 the brand new dottyback and damsel have space. They are both the smallest by far and least aggressive fish in my tank. From my research I won't have to worry about them until 4-5 years from now when I add new fish and they are larger.

I was new to smallie fishing at the time. Knew it was big even for a bucketmouth. Was probably just a pound shy of a state record and I didn't know it till I looked it up online later.

I'm brand new too. I tried to put some in but my MP40 blew it to the back. Too much flow :( thanks for offer though

I catch smallmouth in the potomac all the time that have fish/minnow tails hanging out of their esophagus. Greedy little stinkers. Have to show off this bad boy

I have an evil maroon clown named Crusty. I will sell it to you any time my wife is at work. I just bought a purple dottyback. Love the coloring just hope she doesnt hide all the time like some and hope she isnt as aggressive as they say.

My tangs wont touch anything not warmed up in the toaster oven. They also love fresh uncooked spinach and its supposed to have a lot of vitamin C and other good stuff. controversial though bc its not a natual food. They dont seem to mind.

Also is it best to freeze it or does it last forever?

Hi! Im brian and Im an aquaholic. Im also not going to lie. a couple times. I might have taken a lick of saltwater before taking a shot of tequila. My hands most often have salt residue on them. Sometimes I kinda feel like a nerd when my friends come over. Sometimes they barely glance at the tank and I wonder to myself how that is possible.

We don't always use AC at my house. My tank gets to upper 80s sometimes. The only thing that shows signs of stress is fungia.

My Xenia is angry. All other corals flourishing. It's all sucked in and hasn't come out for about 6 days. It did great for the first couple weeks. So I did a little google research and here is what reef central said....but we are better. 1)person said water is too clean. I don't think that is the case since my nitrates are at 10ppm. Last week they were At 20 so it's possible. 2) person said they dosed iodine to save theirs. I don't have testing kits for iodine so I just dumped in reccomended amount last night. Ill let you know if it works. I have decent flow. Any other suggestions?

Do clowns only swim in one anemone or do they like to roll around in all of them?

Thanks for helping me understand earlier that my tank will be just fine with some rust in it. us newbies appreciate your help and advice and sometimes we take advice with skepticism until it sinks in. Im with you i think flakes are about as healthy as Taco Bell packed full of vitamins. The vitamins make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside but really it's still just flippin Taco Bell. Im glad you are showing us more ways to make live food more practical. I supplement my tangs with fresh spinach. Very controversial since its people food and not available in the sea but at least it isn't McDonald's.
